Agree with you that selling BTC to buy MSTY isn’t ideal but if someone needs the income it’s probably the best option. That said, buying MSTY in addition to BTC has shown to be a good bet.
Since inception, 13 months ago, zero nav decay which everyone is worried about because of other YM products. 172% return in income. Hard to argue with those results after months of chop, the big run in Nov and subsequent 50% drawn down since.
Someone pulled the numbers the other day, since moving to their credit spread strategy, they are only trailing MSTR in total returns by a couple of percent points.
Yes it’s not BTC but in a world where people don’t want to sell their bitcoin and we all have income needs, there isn’t a better option

Bitcoin has clearly entered the global Store of Value phase.
US magacap technology stocks will slowly lose their SoV status (which they’ve enjoyed since 2009) over the coming 10-15 years.
Everything that is good for gold is 10x to 100x good for bitcoin.

Love this take. The more I learn about macro (thank you!) and liquidity cycles, the more it’s seems abundantly clear that mag7 is largely a magnet for liquidity in a world where there was no safe alternative. I suspect Mag7 SoV decline will track the inverse of bitcoin adoption and awareness increase. Mass forward earnings is just a way to mask debasement realities from the public IMO, not sustainable.

We have great dependence on his role in helping to right the US economic ship. Per what I’ve learned in your recent videos, looks like we’re making great progress with DXY dropping and 10y yield rates improving. This connection makes me a bit nervous though.
