"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." -Henry Ford

I've had zero social media outside Telegram meme channels and using TikTok for a business venture, an experience I despised to my core.

Started a Substack recently and decided there's no choice but to bite the bullet and sign up for Elon's X in order to have a shot at getting enough readers to make it worthwhile.

My experience signing up...

-download X

-requests phone number, select "use email instead", nice 😏

-answer a few more questions, requests phone number again. now impossible to click past

-enter burner phone number

-"unable to register account with this number, please try again"

-grit teeth, cringe, enter personal cell number I've had for 15 years

-"unable to register account with this number, please try again"

-😡😡😡

-delete app

Don't know if it's possible to grow an audience exclusively on decentralized platforms, but that's where I'm at. A pox on centralized social media, and on the executives who make using it a living hell. Nostr only for me, I'll give it a fair shot before passing judgement.

"Feminism, she said, had helped her recognize that it was patriarchy that was the problem, not her — that “the bad things that happened in your life are not your fault,” she said."

Shocking 🤣

"Visibility" is a strange word to use for the delusional mentally ill, who desperately try to "pass" as the opposite sex while usually sticking out like a sore thumb to normal people. I'm surprised they really need more "visibility", I would think the Adam's apple, bald spot, deep masculine voice, and facial stubble would be enough 🤷🏼‍♂️.

It's so over, we're so back 💪🏼

Excellent advice. It's also not bad when the forces of evil show their hand and make the battle lines crystal clear. More Christians are deceived with false acceptance than are deterred by open animosity. Bring it, Satanic buffoons. Christ is King 👑

"I'm not good with money" is usually a massive cope. If life is a game, money is one way to keep score. If you don't have enough it's not because you suck at money, it's because you suck at life.

Believe me, I know inflation is real and the system is rigged and all that. In some countries, maybe in ways that are almost impossible to overcome. But I'm talking about the US for anyone born in the past 100 years right now.

Money is what you get in exchange for your productive effort. However much you haven't consumed, you still have. All you've had to do in the US is work, don't consume more than you produce, put your money in the bank, maybe buy a house when you can afford it, and you'll have made out okay. You didn't need to know anything about investing, I mean you could have put your savings in a checking account earning 0 interest, and if you produce more than you consume consistently the balance goes up. It's not hard, in fact it just happens automatically.

If you're constantly broke, you're either not productive enough, or you consume too much. Stop being lazy and put in some time and energy working. Cut back your lifestyle and do without some non essentials until you can actually afford them.

It's harsh and nobody broke wants to hear it, but that's the reality in the US. It's like telling a fat person they need to stop eating so much. They'll whine about metabolism and nutrient dense food and yada yada yada, but the reality is none of that matters when you're obese. You need to put down the fork and stop eating. For a year, if that's what it takes. People have done it, and they lost weight and didn't die. Then you can start talking nuance.

Same with finances. Learn to be productive and live within your means. Then you can start getting into the nuance of managing money. But if you can't keep a dollar in your pocket, you don't have any money to manage and never will. It's a life problem, not a money problem.

very much this #memes

Thank you for taking a principled position publicly and not dodging a topic you know is going to attract haters. If everyone took your approach, the world would be a much better place today. The majority wouldn't be afraid to voice their beliefs due to being gaslit into thinking they're in the minority when they really aren't.

I'll just leave this here...

It does go over most heads. Most people spend their whole life thinking that if only they could accomplish more, they'd be happier. More money, more things, more experiences, more free time, more relationships, more friends...

Most people never get to $350 million net worth where they really have to stop and confront the fallacy of that idea. Hell, plenty of people get to $350 million and just think they need more, or that they should have had better work/life balance, or that they should have put more effort into relationships or family, whatever they need to tell themselves to avoid the fact that happiness is an attitude, not a condition.

Taxes, banking, QE, pensions, entitlements, welfare, fiscal policies, money, and the financial/political system in general are deliberately made complex and opaque in democratic countries. That's because they're all just a brazen, corrupt scheme to bribe voters with their own money, keeping the parasite class permanently entrenched and permanently sucking the lifeblood out of the economy for their own benefit.

Wealth is important and necessary, but I’ve met far too many rich people who are unhappy.

Usually because in the pursuit of wealth they neglected their health or relationships. Sometimes both.

You should strive to max all three of these variables as best you can.

If I was to give life advice to someone just starting out in life, I’d say prioritize your health in middle school, high school and college. Focus on eating right and getting in amazing shape. You’ll build the habits that will carry you through the rest of your life and you’ll look your best during the years when dating and sex matter a lot. Providing you more ability to find a high quality life partner, because long term high trust relationships are crucial for sustained happiness contentment etc…

Then in early adulthood go hard on the pursuit of wealth. Your twenties are the time to work your ass off and put yourself in position to own your time down the line. Better to give up 5-10 years now and own the next 30, rather than goof off in your twenties and end up stuck as a wage slave for 30 years. Save and invest aggressively, take risks, embrace sacrifice. Allow your peers to make fun of you, knowing you have a plan. Let compounding work for you.

Retire in your 30’s sometime around the time you’re starting your family and spend the rest of your life devoted to your kids, spouse and interests. Refocusing all efforts on health and happiness. Don’t take a single action unless it brings you more in either of those dimensions, while simultaneously tending to and growing the wealth you built up to this point.

People think for whatever reason that this sort of life path is not attainable, but it’s very much within the reach of the average college educated westerner. Most just have a defeatist mindset, which ultimately lead them in the wrong direction.

Skip the college education and it becomes even more attainable, imo. Or at the very least, don't think it's not attainable for someone without a college education, either by choice or ability.

Very solid advice 👍🏼

Only caveat I would add, don't get to your 30s and let your relationships negate all the progress you made to get there. Too many men make a great start, until divorce costs them their health, wealth, and family in one fell swoop. Think very carefully about the risks you want to take in today's gynocentic social and legal structure.

"money"

"It's like money in the bank."

Money in the bank is nothing like money in your wallet. If you don't understand the difference, you won't understand the economy. Banks create the "money" in your account out of thin air.

Here's how it works and why you should care.

I wonder if the "diversity" types ever think about what winning would look like.

If the whole globe is completely "diverse", doesn't that make the whole globe completely homogeneous?

I think the people seeding the idea know that, and they really don't want diversity the way the word is commonly understood. They want everything to be uniform, homogeneous urban monoculture.

For one thing, it makes totalitarian collectivism easier to implement. Just herds of brain-dead NPCs, parroting the same talking points from the same propaganda outlets, unquestioningly obeying for "the common good", always ready to agitate for the cause du jour, totally dependent on the social structure and unable to survive any disruption of the status quo.

They're also moral relativists, so they're desperate to eliminate the possibility of different cultures in different places. Easy observation of the fact that some cultural patterns have good results and some have bad results undermines their belief system. Can't have the peasants seeing greener grass next door, like how simple it is to dramatically reduce crime in El Salvador, and demanding those policies in their neighborhood.

-high percentage raised by single moms

-teachers, especially elementary school, almost exclusively female

-every cultural institution openly hostile toward traditional masculine attitudes and behavior

-public messaging constantly portrays traditional masculinity as evil and dangerous

-mainstream entertainment almost exclusively portrays traditional masculine roles like fatherhood as unnecessary, and traditional men as incompetent, buffoonish, or evil

-women portrayed as "stunning and brave" for anything whatever, regardless how ordinary or even objectionable the behavior

-ordinary masculine behavior by boys diagnosed as "mental illness" and suppressed with emasculating drugs by the gynocentic education and medical industry

-government and corporate policy transferring massive amounts of wealth from men to women, leaving men facing an uneven economic playing field

-legal system, particularly family courts and laws around sexual crimes, tilted to create an extremely dangerous environment for men attempting to interact with women

and etc...

Seeing men act like little bitches is anything but surprising to me given the incentives and cultural environment. It takes determined effort and a lot of wisdom to be masculine today without putting yourself into a potentially devastating situation.

Technology isn't politically neutral & people respond to incentives:

Even the dumbest socialist will call for things they don't like to be taxed. But they fail to apply the same logic when it comes to taxing productivity. Greedy & wishful thinking seems to allow them to cling to the idea that intelligent & productive people won't change their behavior if they are punished for being productive.

The effort to socialize the insurance system in the US is a decent example. The goal is to charge the healthy more in order to reduce the cost of being unhealthy. When my premiums quintupled I dropped my insurance & closed my bank accounts to avoid the fines. I had no desire to contribute to a system that was going to charge me more for being healthy. Using cash & bitcoin I was able to function just as well with no bank account.

There has long been a push to eliminate cash, & to favor large corporations over small businesses, because all political parasites know that they have to reduce people's options in order to extract more from them. Bitcoin undermines all of that. Bitcoin creates an incentive to break all of their rules, & defy all of their regulations, in order to produce the best that you can, to trade for the hardest money ever created. The fact that bitcoin transactions cannot be censored makes it a tool of liberation.

"Universal" healthcare programs are dead. "Universal" basic income (#UBI) is dead. #Socialism is ultimately dead. #Bitcoin kills them. #GunControl is dead. 3d printing & small scale manufacturing tools have killed it. #HateSpeech laws are ultimately dead, because #Nostr & #Keet will kill them. #Technology is not politically neutral. Better tech tends to favor individual #liberty & #freedom. #Humanity thrives to the degree that the desires of power hungry fools can be made irrelevant by technology.

People respond to incentives, but totalitarian collectivists don't accept that. They'd rather play God and pretend their words (and guns) are more powerful than individual incentives.

They always resort to the guns when they see their demands being ignored, but that's a tenuous incentive at best. Even when it's "effective" it just results in them briefly ruling over hell on earth. People always find a way to fulfill their natural incentives eventually, even if it means neutralizing a power-mad psychopath.

The monetary premium of commodity monies is an abstract concept attached to a physical object. That means a purely monetary technology has by definition no physical form, it's fully abstract. Goldbugs can't comprehend this.
