Absolutely true, but you'll never change a liberal's mind. They have higher levels of moral concern for rocks and inanimate objects than for their own family. They'd rather see millions of humans die than allow something they think will damage a tree or a rock.

The death of aspirational vision for life. The nihilistic materialistic cultural rot has infected the entertainment industry (or maybe the goal was to use the entertainment industry to infect society).
To push the Godless moral relativism of that Satanic religion, the entertainment industry calls good evil, and evil good. Victimhood in itself is celebrated as a moral virtue, rather than overcoming obstacles being celebrated. This means the "heroes" are no longer aspirational characters we can look to for inspiration and motivation in overcoming obstacles and living high-agency, fulfilling lives. Instead they're just cheap, shallow caricatures endlessly repeating woke religious dogma and modeling degenerate behavior that leads to real-life tragedy for those who copy it.
None of this is honest, and therefore it's not deep and compelling enough to create the emotional energy of a hero's journey that truly grips the heart of the audience.
The time between conspiracy theory and the news is rapidly compressing. The things Alex Jones said would happen a decade ago happened in 2020. The things Alex Jones said would happen in 2020 happened in 2021. At the rate things are accelerating, by 2025 the wildest theories Alex Jones says will be less extreme than what the news reported matter of factly last week.

Once you understand why "keeping people safe" has become the Holy Grail of politics, to which every constitutional principle must be sacrificed, you'll never be able to unsee it.
It's called the "nanny state" for a reason...
It's a matter of when, not if...

So much this. You can't give the scum an inch. Stop adopting their framing.
Theft is a crime. Buying a house is not a crime. Stealing money is a crime. Buying a house with stolen money is not a crime, stealing the money was already the crime.
Adding another "crime" on top of theft is just a way to surveil, coerce, control, and persecute innocent people who didn't commit theft. If someone committed theft, prosecute then for theft. If you can't prove to a jury beyond a reasonable doubt that they committed theft, sorry, you failed. Innocent until proven guilty, and you failed to prove guilt. 🤷🏼♂️ Trying to harass them and steal their money for the "crime" of depositing $9k cash into their own bank account 3 times last week just makes you a failed prosecutor and despicable thief.
“Now, we see excess capacity building in new industries like solar, EVs, and lithium-ion batteries,” Ms. Yellen said during a visit to a solar module plant in Georgia that was shut down due to cheap Chinese imports.
“We have raised overcapacity in previous discussions with China, and I plan to make it a key issue in discussions during my next trip there,” she said. “I will press my Chinese counterparts to take necessary steps to address this issue.”
According to a renewable energy forecast report published by the International Energy Agency (IEA) in January, China nearly doubled solar panel manufacturing capabilities in 2023, creating what the agency called a “global supply gut,” while reducing its solar module prices by almost 50 percent.
Okay, let's do a little thought experiment here. Imagine you truly believe that man made climate change is the biggest existential threat facing the planet, and that the solution to that threat is huge amounts of solar panels powering the electric grid. Imagine you find out China just doubled its solar panel manufacturing capacity in a single year and cut prices almost in half. How do you respond?
Then imagine you don't believe climate change is a serious threat to the planet at all, but if you convince everyone it is, the government will print billions of dollars to subsidize solar panels, your cronies will start companies to manufacture those panels, they'll collect the newly printed money, and they'll reward you with some fat kickbacks. Then imagine you find out China just doubled its solar panel manufacturing capacity in a single year and cut prices almost in half. How do you respond?
Do I need to say more? Could anything be more obvious?

So you're saying this is the wrong response? Oops, guess I've been doing it wrong then 😬
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

👍🏼 thank you, sir, for putting in the work to publish a thoughtful conversation on a controversial topic. npub1ugjah2lcevwlyy6wxwv59gf82v68cuxwyc4p8040k02fxusfuedsvdqjk8 recommended it to me, and I'll definitely be listening to some more episodes now that I've found the show.
I couldn't come close to doing it justice in one article, so hopefully everyone will take the time to listen for themselves and draw their own conclusions.
Thank you! Appreciate the kind words my friend
Just posted an article on UBI, giving my comments and criticism on nostr:npub1fpcd25q2zg09rp65fglxuhp0acws5qlphpg88un7mdcskygdvgyqfv4sld episode with Scott Santens. Big shout-out to nostr:npub164q45vfa8prpl7f63stsl9qm9n22v6julkasjdqxjc8kevchsj0sp42rl3 and nostr:npub12lzwey2hjc2ce0stwa3ldhg04h93wj263lvdhrf87qfzz9jsggeqwuntw2 for tackling a topic they know will get a lot of criticism from the Bitcoin community! Agree or disagree, I respect anyone who voices their opinion, and appreciate the effort they put into the show.
Check out the article, and give the episode a listen. And subscribe to their podcast, because even if you don't agree, there's nothing more boring and intellectually cowardly than living in an echo chamber. I'd love to hear your feedback in the comments! And if you want to see my future articles, consider subscribing to my Substack. I don't promote it anywhere outside Nostr, so your support means a lot.
Thanks for the recommendation, great stuff. My comments/criticism here>
It certainly seems obvious to me
I think this is why someone like you is probably confused when a violent crime is committed, and the victim's family's first response is to go on social media or TV and make a statement to the effect that "this occasion of the rape/murder of our dear son/daughter is a good time to come together and lay aside our differences and we extend love to the perpetrator and condemn anyone blaming this tragedy on any immigration status/nationality/race etc and want to assure everyone that we still support globalism and the current thing in spite of this tragedy."
Nice to know that I'm not just imagining things when it looks like liberals are willing to sacrifice their country, friends, and even their own family to hypothetically "save the planet" or "save the endangered three-eared salamander" or something equally inane.
I want to #zap you 2,100 Sats!
Good morning #nostr! It has been about a month since I joined and I'm loving "Self-Soverign Social".
My challenge has been connecting with like minded folks, which is surprising because if we are both here on nostr we likley share at least an interest in decentralization and #bitcoin.
So I want to try a little experiment this morning. I have just under 500,000 sats or about $350 in my nostr:npub1flm9yc3vhc3dj036pn3ysl5xwd4f5gyhyjnn9rzehs5mqe9y9ynq6qrg9q account, I want you to help me empty it!
Please follow me (if you are not already) and share this post and I'll zap you 2,100 sats until I run out or have to leave the office. It's about 8:45AM EDT, and I'll be zappin' until at least 3PM (or until I'm broke).
In theory this should yield about 235 paid engaugements, which will hopefully amplify my presance here and help me connect with some like minded folks.
Lets see how it works out, I'll share my results!

Welcome!
