Just got triggered by another bitcoin analyst write-up.

So, for like the zillionth time...

The last six months of price consolidation "at or near the 2021 highs" is NOT ATYPICAL OR UNUSUAL if you understand that:

1. The 2021 bitcoin price high of approximately $69k was an (abnormally low) anomaly, historically-speaking... and *should have* been closer to $125k.

2. The anomaly was caused primarily by China's sudden and effective ban of Bitcoin mining, which caused the hash rate to drop precipitously by approximately 50% in the spring/summer months of 2021. By the time hash rate recovered, the liquidity and leverage wave of late 2021 had reached its peak, limiting further upside price action.

3. Once understood, the current post-halving rangebound consolidation of approximately 40-60% of $125k (range: $50k-75k) is TOTALLY NORMAL and quite similar to 2H 2016 and 2H 2020 price action.

Hopefully this makes sense and is helpful to those who are despairing and/or are new to bitcoin.

Any feedback you would add to this stack harder critique?

Since nostr is really my only window to the current world, for about a year now, I get these lil glimpses in notes I don't quite understand or in memes. Sometimes, with time, a better understanding of the event emerges as more notes are posted, but often it is just a lil blip on my attention radar and passes by in a snap. What I have come to know is that very few things happening affect my day-to-day life and generally my life is much more peaceful and productive not knowing.

There are certain people from the past (all of them) who talk to me the way they used to and I do not accept that anymore.

Causes big friction. People are used to an older version of me who had less boundaries. Put up with more bullshit.

Usually easier to just avoid these people entirely.

I'd be so doom pilled if I never found Bitcoin, its so disheartening trying to save in other asset classes, especially if you don't want to leverage yourself to the tits to do it

MSTR is an option when funds stuck in a pension. If you don’t control sometimes can move pensions to your own SIPP that you control (at least in terms of allocation; not ‘keys’)

First thing to know is ‘i’ is your count. So you start at i=0 on the first day of bitcoin. 2 to the power of zero is 1 (can test on calculator). So there are 50 bitcoins each block for 210,000 blocks. At which point the i clicks up to 1 and you have your first halving (2 to the power of 1 is 2 and therefore you have 50 divided by 2 for your next blocks = 25 Bitcoin for 210,000 blocks). And so on…
