My favorite thing about Nostr is that there is no algorithm trying to shove content down my throat.
I see only what I choose and from people who I follow.
Iβm dying at these ππ

nostr:npub1xvtw9ky0ly0ppzw8tlhdek965gjck329tga326hkzlt7c7d5tljs85m7f8 Just made a Holesail proxy that works on Vercel:
https://github.com/oren-z0/holesail-proxy/
This is the best and a free way to expose a local port to the internet quickly and avoid running a jump server using Holesail.
You can keep running the open source version only, On Android run Holesail in Termux and you have your zero cost 100% free and open source reverse proxy ready to go.
holesail.io works solid with Minecraft, you can use that instead of port forwarding
Finally got around to listening to the first episode of βThe Pear Reportβ even though Iβve been using Keet for a while and am a big fan of holesail.
One funny thing that I heard from the first episode was using the Pear stack to play older games that are either LAN only or have had their game servers long shuttered.
Back in 2006 I wrote game match making software to allow users to interact and play older games (that used directplay) like the original GTA and Age of Empires. The last piece I was looking to solve was firewall punching before other obligations forced me to stop the project.
I say all this because Pear and Nostr provide a great opportunity to recreate this project without the server piece.
I may have found my next hobby project (trying to maintain my βtop 3β)

LFG π₯β΅οΈ
Holesail works great with this purpose, I have a friend running 100 + portainer containers through Holesail.
Can't believe this fits so perfectly!
I have been thinking about how I can utilise Nostr with #Holesail.
Here is what I have in mind:
- Use Nostr ID as a login tool for the Holesail Desktop app, such that when you log in with Nostr on your mobile, your connections will sync, and you can manage them remotely.
- Use Nostr as an allowlist, only the Nostr IDs you allow can connect to your holesail instance.
Let me know if you guys have better solutions in mind that I should try.

Just released Holesail version 1.8.0 β΅οΈ with UDP support.
That means we are now one step closer to launching Holesail on nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll and it now support a wider range of applications and gaming.
It is frogging awesome π₯³

I've created an alt GitHub account to tryout Tailscale, this account got instantly flagged and banned by GitHub, and apparently I would have to beg the support and probably add a level of KYC to revoke the ban. Thanks but no thanks, so that's a never again Tailscale for me.
They definately should!

Holesail is going to be the best UDP proxy out there.

We are somewhat far from Holesail itself having a native library of its own, but there is bare-expo that you can use to embed Holesail in any react native application.
We use the same thing in our Holesail Go application.
Pretty freaking awesome!
I am adding UDP support to Holesail, new version coming out soon π
