Assuming you have a solid history of development, better than the others, does education really matter?

I know in design world it doesn’t mean a thing. People only want to see your portfolio. How about dev work??

As someone who has hired developers, I never once looked at anyone’s education. Show me your shipped products.

I had someone try to low ball me on a salary because “you’re asking for that salary and you’re self taught?”. Yes. And I was paid almost double what you were offering per year 1 month later at a new company.

I can personally testify that my understanding of software engineering is weaker than my peers who received an education. However it’s almost never mattered for our work.

Does anyone have barefoot style shoes to recommend?

I have tried a pair of xero shoes and liked them, but the shoe separated from the sole way before they should have. Their sandles are great.

I want a wide toe box to allow my foot to splay as much as it wants. I like thin soles too

No business is gonna spend this time and mental energy so 1% of their customers can pay with BTC. I was in this business for years I've heard from hundreds of them directly. If it's not dead simple and easy they'll just continue using credit cards

I go out of my way to support businesses that accept bitcoin, usually at greater expense to myself. A lot of bitcoiners are like this. Having the option to accept bitcoin would bring in business that a business otherwise wouldn’t get.

I’m also seeing some adoption of lightning and it’s very attractive to businesses.

Couldn’t agree more. He did still create a platform that facilitated illegal activity, which he knew, and he was charged for it.

I never said he was charged for it. He facilitated and built a platform that had it. He was responsible for building one of the biggest black markets In history. I don’t agree with his sentencing but this original meme is hardly honest.
