I dropped my mother off at the airport this morning. I love her, but I am so, so relieved for her to go now. This isn't her fault, she is who she is, but I have never met a person so pathologically self-centered that she doesn't even know the harm she does. She acts as if whatever is happening in her head must be happening in everyone's head. Does she not have a theory of mind?
