I know, I wasn't trying to say that Nostr is bad because of this, but saying "we own our data" here doesn't seem right.

For this, all data would have to be encrypted and we would have system where we can set who is able to decrypt the data and for how long. Would be a very different network (and maybe could even be built on top of Nostr).

Awesome! SEPA transfer is still pending, but I found 500k sats lying around in an ages old Bluewallet, moved them into Zeus, opened another channel and now I am able to zap in Damus.

This is the moment where Lightning has clicked for me.

Here's my Goodreads review:

Who is building a Goodreads on top of Nostr? 🤔

If you think that nostr:npub10pensatlcfwktnvjjw2dtem38n6rvw8g6fv73h84cuacxn4c28eqyfn34f should fund nostr:npub1hxjnw53mhghumt590kgd3fmqme8jzwwflyxesmm50nnapmqdzu7swqagw3 , maybe reply to this post and @-tag OpenSats...

I've been reading their posts for half a year now and without fail their cover absolutely EVERYTHING that is going on in the Bitcoin/Nostr space, plus relevant geopolitical news that are relevant to freedom of speech and privacy.

They never miss a thing. You can completely tune out of the entire life consuming social media madness, add their RSS feed to your reader and just read that one post every day and you won't miss a beat.

This is a huge service to the community!

Not sure if I get your point. Why would I have to mute many people? You think they would setup a topic "Programming" on their profile, but then post politics all the time and tag it either as "all" or "programming" and then I would get to see their politics takes even though I only followed their programming topic?

It looks like the Singapore homeschooling community pulled off a pretty epic event, I regret that I missed it:

If the client UI makes it easy and clear to set a topic, those people who care about posting high signal content to their diverse audiences will definitely not forget - and those are only the people really worth following anyways. Don't care if someone abuses it to spam - I would simply unfollow them.

Would be cool if we could set on our profiles a list of topics we usually post about. Then for each post we could set to which topics it belongs. Then people could decide to follow just certain topics of a profile instead of the entire profile.

Thanks for the help! Maybe the error message in Alby could be more helpful? "Insufficient Balance" is of course right, but if the wallet can detect that it's actually insufficient reserves, it could have pointed me towards the proper solution right away.

channel looks like this, current balance is 1,205 sats. Just tried to zap you, still doesn't work.
