When I posted on Twitter that I would be winding down my use of the platform to focus on developing content on #Nostr my tweet was met with the most hostility I've ever seen from my followers. Very rarely have I ever been faced with denouncement from the people who I thought supported me the most.

I am perplexed by how quick some people are to defend a centrally controlled platform. Perhaps my post was perceived as an affront to Elon Musk, which isn't the case. It was merely based on my realization that centralization of social media is the problem. No human is immune from bias, and thus content moderation, when placed in the hands of any individual, is always susceptible to bias and corruptibility. Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Since centralized social media are controlled by centralized governments, content moderation indirectly falls into the hands of politically motivated governments.

The original goal of my tweet was not to criticize Twitter -- I have gained so much knowledge and valuable real-world life experiences through Twitter and the people I met on there. Rather it was to enlighten my followers about the next step in the evolution of social media: Nostr, a decentralized social media protocol that possesses a unique ability to weather the vicissitudes of ever-changing political winds and to persist as a perpetual non-arbiter of truth.

To whomever on here who reads this, and who likewise understands the limitless potential of building a decentralization basis for social media -- alongside the decentralized monetary basis that Bitcoin is creating -- cheers to you for being the facilitators of innovation and evolution!

We need not worry about the resentment of centralized social media.

History will be on our side.

You are mistaken, your supposed supportive followers were twitter bots all along

Steal people's wealth to teach girls to live a mam's life, and boys to fear an exaggerated cost of children. Then set an unreasonable expectation of a luxurious standard of living for everyone.

Population collapses.

Pump up immigration from the third world, regardless of culture or religion, only based on their willingness to rabidly reproduce, to sponsor the consumption economy.

This is no social experiment, it's intentional destruction.

Got this boost from nostr:npub1zaza8djf4usave5w2jc2374ymytcgk63cddju3fwe8t787h395ususgvvm on the last episode of Bitcoin And . . .

“This Bitcoin water usage criticism article brought to you by Nestle. Nestle, turning human rights into human needs.”

Nestle is a very bad actor in water. Be aware.

Bottled water is loaded with microplastics and is high in sodium. Nestle can suck themselves off.

I had a trans friend around y2k (lost touch now). Worked with one at Sun MIcro. I respect Catelyn Jenner and Chelsea Manning. I've had many gay and lesbian friends. I lived in SF and hung out in the "Vibrant" crowd and regularly did Burning Man. I'm atheist and have no religious hang-ups about it. I'm libertarian and think people should have freedom over their own lives.

But gays and lesbians decades ago never tried to physically permanently medically modify children without letting the parents find out. And they didn't physically threaten and mob people for speaking their dissenting opinions. I have mixed opinions on womens sports and the bathroom issue (although I lean towards the TERF side) so I'll stay out of those minefields. To me the big issue is transitioning of kids without the parents involvement- that is so far over the line that I could see myself committing manslaughter in a rage in order to protect a child.

And It seems to me there is a lot of projection from radical trans people and opportunist medical practicioners onto children who are not perfectly gender-normal that he or she wants to transition, and the sooner the better lest puberty hit and the transition be less effective... when in fact many of these people would grow up to be gay or lesbian, and some of them would grow up to be straight, and plenty of them are regretting the social pressure they caved into, ending up with mutilated bodies, dysfunctional sex organs, and too often committing suicide. Anyhow, my point being that there is an extremism of late that might have been supressed a bit if it were pointed out by members of the LGBTQ+ community rather than always defending trans people regardless of how crazy they get.

So if there is a backlash against the whole group, while I cannot condone it, I understand it.

But that's just my opinion, looking from afar.

I have no hate for trans people. Lets leave men's issues out of this for now and focus on young girls. Girls are more compliant, trusting, needing to feel accepted by their peers and superiors. They are simply more vulnerable to dysfunctional social currents around them. My disagreement is with the medical, pharma, education and psychological industries pressing for "rights" of children to hide their medical history from their parents. It started with girls getting condoms, then it was birth control, then it was IUD, then it was abortions, now its puberty blockers. All of it creates adults that are infertile and dependant on the system for all the horomonal anf psychological damage they are subjected to by the system. The parents are told they have no right to protect their daughters, and now it is becoming law. The popularization of trans has nothing to do with making them more accepted, its psychological warfare to destroy the west's fertility and we aren't up to the challange to defend ourselves.

Musk has a tendancy to lock all of his products down and put all proprietary software in them. He likely would make it a phone with only AI in it and not allow any third party apps.

I would get nervous if a guy walked up in a bear costume

The point is, its custodial. Don't trust ecash tokens unless you trust the mint. If you don't trust the mint, cash out to lightning as soon as you get them. Amethyst does this for you. Then only mint tokens for sending to others.

Ecash needs two advancements: recoverability and mint trustlessness.

Wallet recoverability is in the works.

Mint trustlessness isn't possible yet, therefore you need to find a mint that is run by someone that is trustworthy. You also want to establish trust with the mint owner, so if the mint breaks, you could ask the mint owner for your sats back.

If a guy wants to know what your values are around where to live and how to educate children, you are giving the right message.

If a guy is concerned about what kind of beer you like and where you go clubbing, you are not.

Note to self: Next time you're buying coffee, if they are selling environmentalism or social justice, they aren't selling coffee. This stuff tastes like shit, and I have another pound left. #coffeestr

I guess my wife and i are unicorns. Women that don't value their modesty may be fine for a good time for a while, and a guy may be infatuated with her... for a while. Either a guy will try to make a wife out of a whore, or he will never commit. This is why women complain about men waiting too long to get married, they aren't transforming into the silk purse the guy wanted. Often men will settle out of being pressured, and hoping the woman will tame after marriage, but this is by no means ideal and typically these are the kind of relationships that turn toxic.

Intimidating? No its being attractive and respected. Nobody desires something being given away.
