The Reformation in one verse:
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Eph 2:8-9
Making bitcoin cookies for White Paper Day and Martin Luther...
Thinking about how I'm tired of being told something is good when its evil. Every time I believe that lie, I end up with regrets.
And I'm tired of being told the Christian thing to do is pick the lessor evil. Just saying NO to that crap.
I learned to sew because I was homeschooled. Got some practice back then and still at it a day.
Oh, but you do! You do need to sew denim stays! I was considering it myself!
Lol. Just stay home and sew!!!

Fresh off the machine! An Aurora jumpsuit from Made for Mermaids.

Clothes are made so poorly these days. Made at home is the best!
Seriously agree, better tools make all the difference with snaps and such
I think people are pulling their money out of stocks and buying bitcoin because of the election.
Almost purchased some similar fabric to deck out my kids orange/purple room. I am tired of buying fabric and finding out its a cheap textile that doesn't hold up after putting hours of working into it... Especially with clothes.
I love the heart one. Awesome.
Where do you buy quality fabric? I only have a couple options locally and its cheap junk. If I'm going to put hours into a project, I want my product to last and wash nicely. I mostly sew clothes, but right now sewing linens for my toddlers purple and orange room.

Just wake yourself an hour or 45 min or so before 3am and go back to sleep. Your body should sleep though the 3 am wake up. Hopefully, after a couple days, you just start sleeping through the night.
Soup! Delicious. Add some curry to the soup. Yum yum.
Can't wait until cleaning up poopy pants is no longer on my job description. #motherhood #momstr #toddler
I enjoy my cup of morning coffee so much that I sometimes fall asleep thinking about it
For all of you who are interested in more sovereignty but not up for all-out homesteading, have you considered #meatrabbits so that you can grow some of your own protein? They're probably the easiest entry not just to livestock but to growing your own food in general.

Pros
You need very little space
Low start up costs
Incredible feed to meat conversion
You can grow or forage a lot (or all) of their food
Kids can do most of the rabbit chores
They can mow your lawn (if you're ok with uneven grass height!)
You can scale up production very quickly (=nice SHTF potential)
Their manure is amazing
Butchering is very quick
Cons
They're adorable, so killing them is not easy!*
Not the tastiest meat
Not actually a con, but a consideration: they are very lean. You'll want some fat to cook them with. Sausage with rabbit and pork 😋 #foodstr
A bunch of us on here ( nostr:npub13kwjkaunpmj5aslyd7hhwnwaqswmknj25dddglqztzz29pkavhaq25wg2a and nostr:npub1f5pre6wl6ad87vr4hr5wppqq30sh58m4p33mthnjreh03qadcajs7gwt3z among others) are growing rabbits, and nostr:npub15879mltlln6k8jy32k6xvagmtqx3zhsndchcey8gjyectwldk88sq5kv0n has had some great episodes on them recently.
I'd love to see more folks raising even a small percentage of their own food. It's one of the best revolutionary acts if you're not happy with the current systems.
I'm prepping for a small workshop on raising meat rabbits, so would welcome questions!
*I often remind myself that if I were eating conventional ag products, I'd be responsible for much more brutal deaths of their wild cousins - but still... not easy

Rabbits are delicouis! And super easy to butcher for sure!
Do you have bears in the area? A .22 won't penetrate their pelt and just piss them off.
