We do not deserve such masterpieces.
Quisa por eso te vas.
Delicious song. Thanks for sharing that. It has a sweet mixture of gitano music with Celtics folk. Different but, quite the delicacy.
Many such cases.
If you’re going to use an app like strike, just use it to exchange your fiat for sats, then transfer to an open-source self custodial Bitcoin wallet.
Strike it is not freedom tech,it is not self sovereignty, and expectations that it will be can only lead to disappointment. I think deep down nostr:npub1dmcd5wqd3yku05svp6xqk5gyywek4cgg0w3dk63tcu0rmjxnanns5xutjm would agree.
My 2 sats.
I've seen a few interviews with Jack and it seems he intends Strike to be the Bitcoin wallet that absolutely newb folks to Bitcoin would want and like to use.
Most people here on nostr ATM are very well versed in Bitcoin and all that it entails but most people, the majority of people don't get it. In 2024 regular people are really starting to get interested in owning some bitcoin. I personally know a few people who haven't taken the plunge because they are afraid to mess up or lose money because they don't fully understand Bitcoin and don't intend to deep dive.
Strike has a UX that is very familiar to Fintech users and can drive mass adoption (which I'm sure Jack wanted to capitalize on as an entrepreneur).
All that is maybe beside the point though, I think this article was trying to encourage more P2P Exchanges. That, I think everyone on this thread can agree, we need more of.
I understand your point. I think if she was a but more open to diving deeper into bitcoin I'd offer something else but I'd want to be with her in person to do that.
In this case, I'll be setting her up remotely and I wouldn't always be around should she have any trouble doing things in the ecosystem.
She's never given decentralization or kyc a second thought and wouldn't mind giving email and legacy details to set up an account.
That's what got me thinking about primal. I feel it might be the best all in one option. What about debit card?
Ideally I'd want her to be able to use the debut card seamlessly without having to directly sell her pesos first. I want to eliminate as many steps as possible for her between zaps and use in the local market.
Sheesh that looks delicious. Those things are dripping!
I loved the experience. Is this blurt it's own blockchain?
And it has its own token?
Do you like it?
I'm glad you're here on Nostr! Have you tried the long form clients on nostr? I can't imagine having to pay to upload an article so the block chain can confirm it happened.
Does anyone know if Primal is available in Mexico? What do you think is the simplest client/ set up to engage and recieve sats (for an older person less technically inclined) ?
I have a dear friend who lives in Cancun. She is a very talented artist that does everything from paintings to clay sculptures. She is active on Instagram but doesn't have the technical ability (or desire) to start a website where she could drive traffic in order to sell her art. She doesn't make any money at all for her art.
I want to set her up on nostr because I feel she'll at least make some money from zaps. For her, even a small amount of sats will go far in her local economy (Sats to Mexican Peso).
My intent is to set my friend up with the simplest client and bitcoin/lightning wallet to engage the social network side of nostr and showcase her art. She is older and would be using the sats she gets from zaps in the local economy. I plan on getting her a debit card that can link to an offramp/exchange.
I'm thinking primal might be best as it's got a really nice interface and has a wallet already built in. As for the debit card, I might set her up with a coinbase card. What do the people of Nostr think? Is there a better set up? Anyone in Mexico who can steer me in the right direction?

It seems to get pretty bushy. Will it be a lot of work?
Trezor- cold storage. Ive had mine since 2020 and it recieves regular firmware updates.
They gawk at you in the attempt; Gossip about the outcome
Applaud in your success; envy the spoils that follow
Snicker and laugh in your failures; quibble the folly of even attempting
In the end, there is no change without action. All the spectators are the same as they started, you've transcended.
I believe most parents think they are doing the job better than their parents did. Even in an attempt to do better there are always underlying issues so ingrained in culture and society that its hard to even realize.
I'd love to see he come home. However, as a military man myself (Captain in the US Army) I know why that won't be very likely. it poses a morality risk among the ranks and would set a bad precedent for operatives who have security clearances handling sensitive information.
It's not my opinion, but many Soldiers in the US Army believe Snowden is a pure traitor. The opinion of most Soldiers I've met is not that Snowden shouldn't have revealed the government's mass surveillance program but rather the fact that he accepted Russian citizenship and has worked for an undisclosed Russian IT company, which many assume might be tied to a spy organization against the US.
I cannot speak to the merits of any of that. I personally believe he was right for disclosing a program that is so counter American values. I was raised to do the right thing, even when the right thing is the most difficult thing in your life. Snowden did the right thing and is still paying the price for it. The man is a gentleman and a scholar. Few men could light a match to his level of integrity.
Happy Saturday to you!
Raise the freedom flag high!
If you are planning on saving a significant amount in bitcoin I would suggest a cold storage wallet like trezor or cold card. Buy the wallet direct from the manufacturer, don't try to get a cheaper option, that might be compromised.
Once you have that set up continue DCA or your current stacking method on your preferred exchange (ideally one without super high fees) theres a super good intro to this on r/bitcoin on reddit.
Lightning and any other layer 2 should be for small transaction and amounts.
Certainly not the only way to do it, but its the safest. I had bitcoin in celsius when it collapsed and lost a good bit until earlier this year when I was able to get some back through PayPal.
Sweet music in the mornin'

I gotta get my hands on that book here soon. My daughter just turned two and repeating things like a parrot!
