Is that is for this profile photo? I like the new one.

Well, in my opinion, I believe there is over arching admiration of beauty. Within that beauty there is a wide set of ways that may appeal to "my" humanity. As a heterosexual male I am sexually attracted to women. So though I may find another male very beautiful, even a spectacle to look at and admire, my brain does not map any innate sexual appeal. Whereas that may be different with a woman. And that experience that I go through might be different for someone else so I'm not generalizing in any way here.

I may just see pure beauty and not be inspired sexually when looking at a woman and I may also be sexually attracted to a woman. There is nothing inherently wrong with my naturally arising distinction of either one.

I don't think there is anything wrong with sexualizing so long as it's not harmful to the self perception of the person being sexualized. Words don't have to be spoken and I think we get in turbulent waters when we say something like a "thought crime" especially when there are some thoughts that do not translate well in language and are best tied to emotion.

There Is something to be said about the concept of common courtesy and how that ties to the local, physical, shared human environment. It's important to always engage others with common courtesy and not assume nor extrapolate the meanings or intentions of one's actions unless it blatantly speaks to something outright malicious or perverse (by way of the dictionary definition of perverse: showing a deliberate and obstinate desire to behave in a way that is unreasonable or unacceptable, often in spite of the consequences.)

I’ve never been very good at keeping up with my house, even before the kids.

I’d let dishes pile up, but I’d wash them before the day was out. With kids, the dishes just pile up. I eventually get to it when it gets out of hand. The dishes are an illustration of everything else around me. The grass gets cut when I notice my dog enter the house with a bunch of hitchhiker weeds. The clothes get put away from the laundry room when all of my drawers are empty and I can’t find any of my clothes.

Time is a slippery thing for me. I thought I’d be getting more of it back when I made the decision to start my own business. Who was I kidding? Now, when I have a few moments to spare I have to choose whether I want to get ahead on my “honey-do” list at home or lay my head back and catch a breath from my fast-paced life.

It's tough, but I have to make my home a place worth building beautiful memories. I have to show my children, through my actions, that things are worth taking care of.

I think I can find people attractive and they not be sexualized. However if I state that I find someone "sexually attractive" my mind is sexualizing by attributing a sex role for that person.

That is in part what I see presented to me. The human mind is capable of reading context and sending and receiving signals about things not specially said and maybe not implied.

Bayside deliberately sexualized their characters and those who watched understood the context.

So yes, I suppose I do equate sexually attractive with sexualization. Other wise I would just find someone attractive. There's a nice difference between the works beautiful and sexy. I feel those two words work well too delineate what you asked me.

I like science fiction and fantasy so Im drawn to certain authors.

Dan Simmons writes hypervivid pieces and may best be known for his hyperion series.

The other books are highly recommended by friends and family.

I'm open for anything though. What would you guys be interested in?

2 under 2. Well just about, my oldest is 2 and my youngest is 10months

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is not getting the point of Nueralink at all.

Elon is not pushing for a biological interface with "The Internet" for speedier or easier use. He is doing it because he firmly believes AI has the potential of causing real harm to society.

Just consider what a fully sentient AI would and could do. There's a world of ramifications in just that one sentence. Now if we integrated with AI; not one individual AI but rather a series for personal AIs. Humans would evolve to something new, sure, but we wouldn't become obsolete.

I don't know, it's a nice way to make into a hyperlink but the interface is jarring.

I know there is work being done to make that better but these links will be the gateway to nostr it might be worth having this as presentable as possible. Not quite client level stuff but at least something less jarring.

Maybe instead of showing all the "under the hood stuff" just hiding it and asking, "want to see what x-person is sharing in nostr click here" to have them then choose a client.

I've tried brushing my tongue (that's a normal procedure when I brush my teeth) and mouthwash. I've tried everything, but after smoking some full bodied cigars it leaves that leathery tobacco scent for too long after smoking.

I love smoking Romeo and Julieta with a light Connecticut shade wrapper with some whiskey. It's nice while I'm smoking. But like I said, its the after effect that kills me.

I'm currently working on an article based on the Tao Te Ching.

I smirk every time I see just how similar each religion is.

There's always a concept of oneness. Very clearly Eastern religions treat this as non-living and living at the same time while Western religions tend to tag on more human-like characteristics to the "oneness"

Either way you see it, the oneness is always there whether its called God or not.

Not gonna lie, that stops people on a dime when they see it.

I tried sending a buddy of mine my npub so he could check out nostr and he just looked up at me and said "wtf am I supposed to do with that?"

Cheers (clinging coffee mugs) Good morning!

Washington is truly a gem of a place. God took his time with that piece of earth.
