Ahhh is it nip-65? I think this may be different than the relay lists I am familiar with.
nostr:npub1acg6thl5psv62405rljzkj8spesceyfz2c32udakc2ak0dmvfeyse9p35c can probably describe better, but I think by Gossip Model we generally mean that the app figures out where to get posts based on the author's write relay list. The amount of connected relays changes significantly over time. That initial description could be expanded to using any relays that are declared in the event kind you are looking for. Public Chats, for instance, should be based on the preferred relay of the channel metadata + relays from your follow lists (so you never miss a follow's chat post even if it's not in the main relay of the channel).
Right, but aren’t there like 3 kinds that can store relay information associated with an npub? Or do you specifically mean the version of relay lists that allows read/write specification?
Have the relay list specs in Nostr ossified? Where does one look to find the “home” relay and/or a relay list for a gossip implementation? I remember it seemed to be under debate a few months ago
I like Damus, and I don't see that changing. If Damus has to, it will temporarily remove those post zaps. There will be some workaround, at some point. But Damus will always be there. nostr:nprofile1qqsr9cvzwc652r4m83d86ykplrnm9dg5gwdvzzn8ameanlvut35wy3gpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dsq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuegprpmhxue69uhhwetvvdhk6efwdehhxarj9emkjmn9qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhx6mmnw3ezuur4vgq36amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3dwp6kytnhv4kxcmmjv3jhytnwv46q5rm7sg
I believe that. I have been strongly considering a switch back to android the last few days. That would be the only reason I would leave Damus!
Very interested! Just applied
I use Damus on iPhone. That may change soon if Apple goes through with their threats!
Have the equivalent of this on my iPhone mini and it’s not to thick but provides good protection and some tactile feel.
Spigen Liquid Air Designed for Pixel 7a Case (2023) - Matte Black https://a.co/d/1hRDunr
I don’t have a pixel (yet), but I’ve always been a fan of Spigen. Caseology has some nice ones too.
My iPhone is not long for this world
I mean… technically zaps aren’t a form of payment. Lightning is a form of payment and zaps are a way to effectively share proof of payment.
The Apple/Damus situation seems like a clear misapplication of the rule. Venmo/PayPal do not get charged. The rule only applies when an app is “selling” content. Given that the lightning transaction doesn’t even occur from Damus (you need a separate wallet) and Damus has no interaction with lightning, I find it a stretch to say that Damus is selling content for money.
Damus is an interface that facilitates info transfer between users, including payment receipts - not the actual payments. .
Noted, and added this to a documented issue on the friends filter.

Thanks! I’ll try to remember to go post on GitHub next time :)
Note above is specifically about the followers vs all toggle button hidden in the upper right by relay count
nostr:npub1eq94yj8maree90pm53gfr76wdc44su3cwcqmly848xfrv6es6usqg4er58 I passed your feedback to damus design team. Thanks for sharing 🙏
No problem! The note below is the only other bit of feedback I might pass along in terms of UI. This is such a great app. Thanks to all of you for the hard work on it!

I… feel like an idiot. Thanks!
The only thing I would want to change on Damus is to have a custom option without needing to go all the way to settings

would you mind changing this? i think it’s funny, but primal is not getting the praise it deserves unfortunately
I also don’t get it. This is Damus
You inspired me to dig though my old music and I found my wind down album for the evening! After some T-Swift of course
Helped me understand so much. Still not sure I see how transactions every 5 seconds per ASP is sustainable, but this seems like an awesome building block on top of the shared UTXO model
