The smell of coffee carries so many memories.

It always took me back somewhere.

For a very long time, whenever I'd smell it, I'd be taken back to a family friend's house where we would go during some summers when I was a kid. That was a beautiful and very odd house. The vivid flashbacks would be colorful and happyโ€”even noisy from our laughter.

It was during my college years that I started drinking coffee myself during project season. Since it was mainly instant coffee, the smell wasn't as powerful, so I'm hardly ever taken back to those ridiculously early, pre-exam mornings.

I guess because I'd never been a regular coffee drinker, its smell kept building memories around times shared with others. Holidays where friends would be brewing their morning cuppa. Early starts at work, sharing laughs and complaints with colleagues. Melancholic or nostalgic memories from past loves. Even that exact morning years ago when coffee smelled like just coffee and nothing else.

Sometimes I think I may be weird, but I choose to believe it's beautiful how something so common can evoke so much.

The smell of coffee still builds so many memories today, and reminds me of the richness of shared moments in my life.

Grinding your coffee beans leaves your home with the most beautiful smell, and can last for some hours indeed

Any Bitcoin or Nostr project that might need some help? I'm good at writing documentation/articles and managing data.

I saved this note when I read it to think about it later. I always thought that monopoly on violence would be a limit to bitcoin growth (and freedom tech in general), an elephant in the room. But making violence expensive is a new angle to think about this issue (at least for me). Thanks.
