while the practical part of me knows dripping sats into my lightning node is probably smarter, there is a part of me that wants the immortal glory of mining a block with my own node, own miners and stamping it with my own tags. its hard to ignore 😎

I installed DATUM on my nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll, and I’m getting ready to switch from Core over to Knots. Do you know if there is any downside to Knots vs Core when it comes to using it with other services/programs like electrs, LND, Mempool, or Sparrow? I may need to just ask nostr:npub1wnlu28xrq9gv77dkevck6ws4euej4v568rlvn66gf2c428tdrptqq3n3wr.
Austrian economists are bitcoiners who don't know it yet. The exceptions, of course, are Peter St Onge (is he on nostr?) and nostr:npub1gdu7w6l6w65qhrdeaf6eyywepwe7v7ezqtugsrxy7hl7ypjsvxksd76nak. Last night I added an Austrian economics event to the #bitcoin #homeschool and game conferences I've experienced. This was a Mises Institute dinner with their president Tom DiLorenzo the headline speaker. These are super nice people and all libertarian-minded but their reception to my bitcoin inquiries was pretty cool to tepid at best.

I’ve bought over a dozen copies of nostr:npub1gdu7w6l6w65qhrdeaf6eyywepwe7v7ezqtugsrxy7hl7ypjsvxksd76nak's Bitcoin Standard and had a couple given back to me, unread and with the excuse, “I just don’t have time for this right now.” I almost respect that more than someone putting it on their shelf and never getting to it because then I can at least pass the book on to another pre-coiner.
