I think im right in saying in IOS Orbot is either on or off, you cant choose the applications that use it. On Android you can and on Calyxos you can run Orbot and another VPN at the same time in different profiles. On some Android apps they run their own Tor instance so dont need Orbot, maybe some clients could so similar.

It depends on the requirement the seller listed, but from memory when I've done it its been maybe 30-50k Sats. Need to use a lightning wallet that supports hold / bond invoices like Zeus (I'm sure there are plenty of others). Here is a guide.

Good for you, Cormorants are the most amazing birds. Love watching them dive. Hope it slips that hook.

I meant that for @npub1f5nuqp9yc48cq5zjsn739879jtc8kpfe90c65ae4etfq4jn2vspq6065l0 . Yes for first time simple is better, then maybe something like Relai in the middle then Robisats / bisq.

Need to work on my Dalle descriptions....

I hadn't appreciated how much work goes into getting the finished product. Proof of Syrup!

Hunt for the Skinwalker, multidimensional beings.

+1 for Embassy, super simple to set up and the team are great and on hand for support.

Stephan Livera did a pod (456) with the creator of ordinals. I understood that if the blocks are full of fee paying financial transactions its unlikely to contain an Ordinal one.

So in essence Ordinals are space fillers when the Mempool is quiet that provide a small fee benefit to Miners. Not great for Node runners as the average block is bigger, but also not likely to be around once the fee market is stronger.

The bigger thing I cant get my head around is that its all make believe based on an arbitrary method of first sat in first output.

You are right, much quicker. Less is more sometimes.

Will try it now myself as well then as everything is pretty slow for me now. You can also add the filter.wine relay to broadcast your posts to other relays.

Did it make much difference to load times / missing many messages?

Whats a reasonable stratagy to reduce the data downloaded from Nostr? I noticed yesterday using Iris on my phone with Kiwi browser used over 3gb in 24 hours and I wasnt on Nostr that much (but may have been open in the background). Ive cut my relays from 15 to 9 today and so far its pulled about 2gb down (16 hours) so doesnt seem to have changed much.

Not sure how it could easily be undone now and there is probably a reason the witness data is cheaper, but its a bit of a piss take that these are filling up block space with discounted fees.

The UK government is pressing ahead on plans for a Digital Pound.

Remember the playbook:

1) Introduce CBDC,

2) Phase out Cash,

3) Implement negative interest rates,

4) Restrict access to those approved,

5) Monitor spending and give allowances / penalties to model behaviour,

6) "Expire" your money / freeze you out if you don't conform.

#Bitcoin fixes this.

I'm using Iris.to and I'm not having any issues with spam. Assume there is some filtering going on somehow in the background to clean it up.

Could be but ive scanned a lot and not had this happen before, dont recall if ive had a black background in previous ones through.

I got it to work with the text (dont know why i didnt think of that). QR code doesnt look like it can be picked up. Thanks for the kind offer though.

Just tried Breez as well and it wont pick up.

https://nostr.wine resources are being closely managed. Fairly large machine and will spin up more and geographically distribute as load increases.

Already playing with more efficient implementations than nostream as well.

Ive tried 3 different Lightning wallets with the invoice generated and it wouldnt pick it up (Phoenix, Muun, CoinCorner)
