They can generate an invoice with it and send it in e-mail on the same interface for payment, etc. It's really easy and it's free. Check it out. I was seriously impressed with how simple they packed it together.

If you control the proxy code, you can. Otherwise, if it's just generic, no you can't. It's dumb and they are slow.
They've been trying to convince people and have some states signed on to it already. They've been going at it for the last I forgot, 6+ years?
A Convention is required, no? It's intended to be used to fix an out of control congress; in the event it's needed. Problem is, if congress is that out of control, the state govs are most likely just as bad off and trusting the convention in that atmosphere is dicey. 😕
That's why there's a massive push across western eu to make it more "safe".

Being able to get the payments out of Sphynx is kind of sticking point atm. That's where mine is stuck. All attempts to send to another LN Address / invoice fail. I'm sure if I sent to another user it would be ok though. I'll be going back over the setup in 30 min again to make sure but that's the last major issue, I'm seeing.
Exactly my point. 😁 You already know vanilla, so, just dump the fw and go with it. Use some es6 or 7 to help minimize your code a bit and it just flows.

people look at it like it's a 7 headed beast but it's usually because they know the framework and not js/ts. Ran into that first time 15 years ago w/ jQuery people. It seemed odd they didn't get js without the framework but it's just continued since then.
There is a better way but they don't worry about that. Bringing papers in yourself is better to be secure but gov doesn't spend money on many actually secure techs to protect peoples data.
