At some point it's going to be different than it has been in the past (agreeing that yes, that happens). I think the environment we're in now could provide the catalyst to make this time different, but we won't know until after the fact 🤷
I'm definitely getting the vibe that this wave of nostriches are people fed up with big tech.

Those followers are coming to nostr now as a result of his work and as part of that will be increasing their exposure to Bitcoin.

It's the value for value economy. Like tipping a wait staff or food delivery driver you're saying thank you to the creator in lieu of ads geared towards manipulating your purchasing decisions. 🧡

The one thing about social media I hated was the censorship’s (and all the complaining). I had 2 successful homesteading accounts where I shared knowledge on self healing, hunting, living off grid, bartering, crop steering, permaculture, cooking, etc. that were shutdown for “violating TOS”. People reporting my vids because “hunting is unethical” or “ solar is a gimmick”. The cannabis and herbal extraction vids were toast inside 24 hours.
I gave up. I deleted everything but X and just stayed silent.
I’m thinking this may be the place to start over again.
Should I bust out all my gear and let ‘er rip again? What do those of you on nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg and #NOSTR think?
Nostriches love people that bring content that isn't Bitcoin. You will do very well here.

A value for value based circular economy is sexy as fuck.
