i think that the solution is that we accept diff updates and they can be optional to return in requests

so, you can make an event that says change the previous post to "" and then clients have the option of showing edit histories

it's a fair compromise

no delete, just diffs

this is why most social media and chats have an "edited" tag attached to an event when that happens

i think that it obviously should be no problem to allow it, and to mark it edited, and to show the latest edit version, but also let the users see the event history

this is a middle way

the history is visible, but the current version is shown first and a history can be accessed

the scumbags then can't hide their history and most people won't click the edited button for people that are not horrible

for horrible people, they click the history and bust their ass

annoying when clients do this, so far i'm finding coracle and primal are leaving em how i set em

Golang has everything that makes me sad about programming. So many things are done right (interfaces, for example), but everything is done in such a weird way (type declarations, var). Can't we get a language that has all the good parts and none of the weird ones?

I just found myself exploring options like substack as a better means for search.

The trad search options are so bad with all these garbage mainstream outlets gaming the SEO making it a waste of time.

I can see a trend where these other networks including nostr become higher signal information search engines than the existing incumbents
