Yes and no. I’d still would want the clear distinction between likes and zaps. Because - to me at least - they’re semantically different. But of course 1 sat zaps could be (and maybe is) the equivalent of a 🤙

Likes and zaps have a different semantic, imho.

A 🤙 is more of a brief acknowledgment, something I (sometimes loosely) agree with or where I want to signal that it caught my attention. ⚡️ on the other hand is signaling support for the content posted. Getting value out of it. Both have their use, but 🤙 would be even more useful if it defaulted to 1 sat and payment was 100% seamlessly integrated.

Anyone else expecting an insane number of OP_RETURNs and ludicrous fees for block 777’777?

Been wondering about some of the legal implications of running a public relay. I would imagine that the authorities would treat relays similar to e-mail servers. All depends on jurisdiction of course.

Keywords: Liability for “illegal” content posted via your relay, take down notices, warrants for connection logs and user identities (npubs), etc.

Any nostriches working for email service providers or ISPs? Would be curious to hear your thoughts and industry experience.

Not making it easy to swap out sats is a serious barrier for adoption, imho. UX to swap in an out of lightning must be absolutely effortless or it’ll simply confuse people.

Are there any wallets that fully integrate swapping sats from LN back to an onchain wallet?

Documentation has gotten better. IIRC they even recommend their btc only firmware in the desktop client now.
