I think the issue here is even the app owners did not know it was happening since they are severing the partnerships. Or they're acting like they didn't and are now trying to distance themselves from it.
When I moved from the Midwest to Nevada back in 2019, one of the goals was to never wear pants again. I am proud to say I've only worn pants once since moving -- for an in-person job interview.
Dry is a feature to me. I hate humidity (grew up in the Midwest) and also have zero allergies living here.
If you're considering other places, there are probably quite a few areas in Nevada that foot the bill. Other benefit is no state income tax, no corporate income tax and no taxes on corporate shares.
There are a ton of small cities in different climates, too. You can go from dry desert in Vegas to mountain climate in Mount Charleston in 30 minutes, for example.

I could easily make a case that if all of the alt scamming didn't occur, Bitcoin would already be worth multiples more and likely have had much more mainstream adoption. But I digress.
