Detoxing the Algo’s

War is quickly becoming Enders Game. I don’t know how I feel about it.

Nobody monitors the situation like a toad monitors the situation.

Went through the airport for the first time in a long while. Haven’t experienced the facial recognition in practice until now.

Fuck that shit. Gives me the creeps.

TSA is now the Travel Surveillance Agency.

Bad take.

Since when did productive and depraved become an inverse relation to one another. And how can you assume lower castes are more depraved than the productive? It’s not the lower caste (whatever that is) who is responsible for the boom in AI tools being widely developed and dispersed. Nor are they the drivers of this depravation. Evil leaves its mark on everything it touches, not just those less capable.

To whom much is given, much will be required.

Try viewing people on the basis of their individual human dignity and not according to the classification of their circumstances or abilities.

What becomes of us after the death of all virtue?

Any productivity benefits to society from AI is void by the sheer depravity these tools will unleash. Go look up “Tilly Norwood” and you’ll see why damn near every sci-fi/fantasy novel is set in a time post thinking-machine Armageddon.

We must not blur the lines between the real and the non real. The war about transgender pronouns is going to appear minuscule compared to the war on reality that’s about to be waged.

The more I see AI develop the more I believe these tools are straight from the pits of hell. I used to think there was a balanced argument between the pros and cons and we could walk the tightrope. I no longer believe it’s possible.

The ceremony of innocence is drowned”

One unsolicited marriage tip. You must never talk bad or complain about your spouse to anyone. Ever. If you have a problem with your spouse you talk to her (or him). When you complain outside of your marriage you weaken yourself and damage your spouse. Don’t do it.

A civilization has died when its citizens start having to put their own furniture together. We used to have artisans and guilds for these kinds of things.

Did this on a walk this evening. Cameras on every house and every corner. Quite astonishing when you pay attention to it. All fed back to the centralized cloud which I’m sure is riddled with doors to every agency and corporation that wants it.

Socialism is the last stage of democracy

What say you?

I don’t think the U.S. government should own any public or private company. And we should not cheer this.

This is another step towards the Chinese model that we so fervently “fight”.

Antarctica has never been more connected

My favorite part about this is seeing the random dudes on boats in the middle of absolute nowhere.

What Brazilian pirate miners hear on their bummed U.S. satellite radio coms when the pentagon decides to mess with them.

In light of the now recent Tucker interview, re: Dave Collum, and all boomers really.

There’s something illogical about recognizing the stranglehold the “deep state” “oligarch” “Elite” -insert whatever name you want for them- class of people have over our society, yet at the same time ceding the most powerful tool we have to dethrone them via the flimsy “well they’re so powerful they’ll never let it happen” narrative.

Why did most slave societies never revolt? It wasn’t always because they couldn’t, it was because they *thought* they couldn’t.

If there is any attractive incentive at all for why a household should have a Tesla with an associated solar array and powerwall it is this. If all of your energy needs are reliant on the oil and gas oligarchs you have given over complete control. When times are good obviously this is no issue, but times are not always good.

This is not an economic decision, it is a sovereignty decision. One that should not be ignored.

At my company I routinely work with a contractor in Costa Rica. It pains me every time I see our CFO release the international wire transfer to pay invoices.

Problem is he’s 61 and will never understand the utility even as it stares him in the face. Sometimes generations must pass.

How long until we can break the digital gold wrapper?

Discounts for paying in Bitcoin are overdue. Hoping this trend picks up
