Nobody got rug by WoS. Existing users in the US can still open the app and send fund to another wallet. Even users who doesn't have the app installed can find a way to restore their account by installing the apk on an Android device or from the app store in another country and withdraw. Only the ones that didn't create an account with their email and got the app uninstalled, by mistake or by the shitty uninstall update behavior of Apple, are possibly rekt.

I'm wondering what WoS will do in the end with all the non moving sats for wallet without email. They have no way to know if the user still has access to the app but didn't open it or if they lost access to it.

I always forgot about it but yes, it's maybe the best way to on board user, at least the ones already using Telegram. But the question is about the risk that Telegram (is asked to) remove the bots from their plarform, on top of the risk that nostr:npub12rv5lskctqxxs2c8rf2zlzc7xx3qpvzs3w4etgemauy9thegr43sf485vg rug pulls us or has a nasty bug or hack.

Yes thanks to them we are forced to use self custodial non-kyc wallets.

I tried to read to understand as well. In short, with in-kind, if a big player (not retail) would want to sell their iBTC ETF they would get real BTC in exchange and not cash equivalent. In cash mean they get USD equivalent, forcing Blackrock to sell BTC at market price to pay the ETF holder. Probably to a certain extend, Blackrock would be able to hold the BTC and give cash from their reserve until buyer come back with a risk of course but I'm not sure how it works in practice.

I'm not necessarly against paying taxes if:

Reasonnable incomes would be taxed way less Something like 0% tax below a certain income and linearly incressing up to max 15% up to 100k of income per adult in the houshold + some % of 100k per kid depending on the age.

Then increase the percentage faster for every dollar of income above that until a maximum, let's say 70% for 5 millions/adult and above.

Zero or super low tax on wealth up to 1 or 2 millions per adults, then increase the percentage above it.

Zero VAT tax on non-transformed food (meat, fruits, vegetables, weat, milk, egg,...) and maybe some first necessary items.

High(er) taxes on companies, coordinates worldwide, with taxes mostly where their incoming is coming from and with a distance taxes in percentage of how far they are operating/producing/sourcing from compare to the consumer/end user location.

I'm no politican so I can be wrong here and there but I guess would agree on the intention and find a solution to go toward the same direction.

Too bad because there is good ideas like the option to pay per message in a group chat and to stake sats to write in order to avoid spam (first time you write it blocks a certain amount in sats, and if you are not reported as spam x hours after your last message, you get your sats back.

The way to agree on what is spam or not was still to improve (only the group admin could judge) but the seed for a solution was planted.

I get a lot of 1 to 3 sats invoices paid on my lnaddress but my software doesn't transmit any message with it. Strange but who cares.

It's just a decorative/commemorative coin. No real value. You can buy them on Aliexpress and eBay.

Last May was still worst and March 2021 is still a record in term of USD, not sure in term of sats.
