Awesome recommendation thanks!

Yes I’m definitely aware of the lack of anonymity that comes with having a KYC simm for the local carrier. I’m just not sure if a guy has to go wifi only or whether options exist to get a non KYC data only e-sim or something and do voip. It’s all starting to feel like if I want to be off the grid I just don’t carry anything when I’m not at work or at the house. I can’t wait till I retire I’m going to skip this MF’er across the lake.

Do you have any insight into the question about how to have cellular data access without KYCing the device with the local carrier? Or would I have to find a no KYC data only sim provider and only use voip for voice? Thx

Before I make the investment in the hardware and the time to migrate to different apps by getting a degoogled pixel with GrapheneOS, I’m trying to decide if there will be any practical privacy benefit to doing so, given that my work phone will always be fully googled and tracked by virtue of the apps my employer insists on. The only way I can see there being any practical benefit and making this any more than a technology experiment is if my work phone only gets carried offsite during work hours. Then, thinking further:

- If I choose to only carry a degoogled phone when I’m away from work, how do I do voice comms with a KYC sim to get on my local carrier?

- If I’m constantly in the company of people with spyware phones when I’m away from work, aren’t most of my physical movements and other info able to be inferred anyway? I can’t even talk to my kids or my wife or friends about a new topic or purchase within earshot of their phones without it creeping into their ad feeds. Is any of the James Bond stuff even worth it?

I was wondering why my legs had atrophied lately and my arms and chest were looking so good.

I once thought that the point of life was purely enjoyment and self actualization. I’m finally coming to understand that it is more about graceful endurance in service to others, in spite of the evil in the world and artificial, imposed challenges. And in doing so, the glorification of God.

Maybe it’s capitulation. Maybe however, I have been an entitled fool for measuring my success and limiting my happiness by the yardstick of the attainment of worldly things and the achievement of personal goals.

The world looks hopeful and salvageable. May my example of service today inspire others to make it so.

Thanks for the recommendation. I just downloaded it. I’ve been looking for a new read.

Ok I understand the whole idea of 1BTC=1BTC. I recognize the folly of selling one’s stack of a pristine asset for a debasing asset. But on the other hand….

Can someone wiser than I make me understand why NGU isn’t important when the capital assets, services, and land that a person wants in order to make their dreams a reality, are all denominated in fiat?

I don’t really care if the natural state of the free market is deflation. We’ve never HAD a free market. We likely never will. All the philosophizing by people who “had it made” in fiat terms before they became Bitcoin shaman is pretty easy when you’ve already got unlimited optionality.

So why is it considered so mid-curve to want to see your purchasing power grow sometime while you still have breath in your lungs and energy to pursue your goals?

I’m still going to stack like a retard (often to my short term detriment) because I believe in the fundamentals and will NEVER trust an institution again with anything more than pocket change. But it sure would be awesome to hit the “fuck you money” stage. Maybe it’s at least going to benefit the kids. If so, I guess so be it.
