This is actually a good reason for clients to implement more complex feeds that are not just time linear.
"Reposting so that the australians can see it" is not exactly the best UX 😅
I think it's acceptable to repost some high quality replies since those get almost no visibility in most clients.
I agree that bitcoin consensus is "harder" than ordinal consensus, that was never in question. More market nodes validate bitcoin transactions than ordinal transactions.
But it does not take from the fact that they are both arbitrary consensus systems. Pretending otherwise is harmful.
You don't "own" bitcoin, you own pieces of data that can produce signatures that can satisfy a script which can produce a consensus valid transaction. That's the pure mathematical factual way to look.
You can apply the same logic to ordinals. Only the ones with the right pieces of data can produce consensus valid "ordinal transactions".
I thought you always needed the @ character to mention someone but it turns out you only need to paste the npub without the @ symbol.
Using the @ symbol will trigger completion and that's what causes a crash.
It's mythology and social consensus all the way down
Consensus rules are just as arbitrary as ordinal rules
Ordinals don't threaten bitcoin's fungibility, they merely showcase the lack of it.
The fact that degens are inscribing garbage on a distributed ledger is merely a symptom, not the disease.
CT/MimbleWimble is the only credible solution. Fuck your filters.
I have same issue. Even in the hastags tab of my profile, I can only seen part of them since it's impossible to scroll.
Wdym we don't need 50 shitty nostr clients? 🫢
Podcasts are the new brainwashing church masses
Is paying a LN invoice the only way to buy LN channel from the olympus LSP? No way to do it from an on-chain tx?
No tshirt?
Some of my follows need to rebroadcast their kind=0 metadata to more relays.
It absolutely sucks seing just a bare npub on your feed of a person you chose to follow in past but now don't know who it is.
The good thing about pihole is that it applies to the whole LAN, regardless of device, browser or app.
But there's still filtering and blocking that only UO can do.
The web of today would be completely unusable without uBlock Origin.
