Michael Saylor: "I'm in favour of thoughtful, principled development."

https://m.primal.net/IOHn.mp4

He said that dev funding should proceeding with 'surgical precision', based on the values held by individual developers.

Is that not the most coherent, considered position, with respect to how funding should proceed?

Surely OpenSats would make the case that that's the way in which they allocate capital... with 'surgical precision', vs indiscriminate helicopter money....

to a simple mind, perhaps.. 😘

The part where he suggests Bitcoin development should mirror the conservative nature of other highly technical engineering processes e.g. aeronautics, seems far more worthy of amplification than this oddly selected 30 seconds....

I'm not interested in defending people, they can do that themselves. I'm interested in defending truth, and calling it out when certain people go witch-hunting.

You posted an out of context 30 second clip that proves nothing. Post his entire response to the question. It's exceptionally considered and puts the long term health of Bitcoin front and center with zero ambiguity.

agreed. his position is quite rational.

it seems like a large subset of users would rather allow an out of context, 30 second clip, to trigger their pathological trust issues, than invest 60 minutes to hear out his actual position on the issue...

Perhaps wise to listen to the entire interview as opposed to a 30 second clip. His take is quite considered & coherent.

why are so many so desperate to malign Saylor? If you want an accurate summation if his take on this, at least listen to the whole episode... yikes

Word is he is deeply upset to learn of this post....☝️

In the full segment he fully explains what happened. ie the issue became political. a formerly hostile administration saw their compeitors position themselves as hardcore pro 'crypto', and so they knee jerked.. throwing out 100 years of securities law, and approving trash, in a bid to win back votes.

the vast majority of people know ETH is a blatent security, but when corrupt politicans get involved, and exert their will, to the extent that you aren't prepared to rally and go to Washington to overturn the decision (would be great if someone did this by the way), then you simply have to update your models, and proceed accordingly

We just need to get HEX & Litecoin ETFs over the line.. then we can talk nostr....
