Nostria hosts Discovery Relays in different regions, and syncs with Purplepages. All Discovery Relays are synced together, so new accounts are discoverable, no matter where they are regionally located.

Last month we held an investor meeting to give an update on the progress. This month we've written an article that gives a summary of some of the great improvements we've done to Nostria.

We continue to work hard our app and services, recently we added support for expiration on notes, a prototype for calendar feature, Nostr Wallet Connect, Premium signup is done, support for NIP-04 and NIP-17 style of direct messages, improved bookmarks, you can make posts and articles with pictures now, either drag and drop, choose a file or paste from clipboard.

Thanks for the feedback! Based upon your feedback, we started adding support for following and the first preview of the "algorithm", which runs locally and helps improve the experience of looking at your personal following feed.
To get new default feeds, just delete all existing feeds and reload Nostria. Or edit and change the second tab settings from "Public" to "Following".
The rendering of notes in feeds are not finished yet, there are no "load more" functionality either yet. Nostria plan to be feature complete at the end of August 👍

To do the outbox model properly, Nostria needs to connect to each of your contacts relays and grab their latest notes. When you follow 200 people, this will take a lot of time and resources, and it wouldn't make sense to grab 5 notes from 200 users, you won't be able to read through that.
What type of algorithms would you prefer to have? Here are some that we suggest we should implement:
Most Visited: Profiles are automatically ranked based upon how often you've opened them.
Most Recent: Profiles are ranked on the date last opened theme.
So one algorithms would be to combine these two in a ranking, grab the top 10 or 20, and get the latest events from them.
The feed could be sorted in both directions, so "show me latest events from my least opened profiles".
A more advanced optimization algorithm would look at idle or active accounts and then use that to figure out which user to grab notes from.

Improved the profile layout view, fixed bugs, made improvements everywhere. Implemented the "Back" button navigation, which includes a context menu (long press) to have quick-navigation to previous page.
This was of course published using Nostria.

Nostria is deployed in Africa, Europe and North America at the moment. Regionality is an important aspect of social media. New users on Nostria, will connect to relay and media server that are located in the same region.
While there is plenty of spam on Nostr, connecting to a regional relay will contain more locally relevant content, improving the user experience.
Our efforts to be available in many global regions should also include us supporting multiple different languages.
While we won't translate the whole app just yet, we did add support for multiple languages, including isiZulu and Kiswahili. Unfortunately we can't read it, we hope our community will contribute making Nostria a great experience in many of the worlds languages.
We've updated Nostria Find with options to open the Nostr profile using the default web or default native Nostr client on your device.

We added support for "Publish Event", which allows you to re-publish any event you discover to additional relays. Sometimes you want to move your events from previous relays to new ones, or there was networking issue when you published.

The primary reason is that we have not deployed our production infrastructure yet, that will happen in about two weeks time. After that, we'll publish natively on each platform.
Blossom does not have any video encoding features, allowing viewers to optimize playback for their devices. This is an interesting potential premium user feature, where a transcoder service could provide user's with different resolutions on the video stream.

Work continues and we recently developed yet another new piece of software to support our needs, the Nostria Notification. It's a service that allows user's to setup notifications to be received on different devices. You can even manage other devices from any of your devices, so you can "logout" notifications on a device you don't use anymore and set filter/rules where you get your notifications.
Many other new features being added and improved daily!
The funding agreement is of kind SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) is an investment instrument that provides the right to receive equity in the future. As a Pre-Seed investor, you receive a SAFE that will convert to equity shares at the Seed Round with a 15% discount.
