nostr has its issues. but for those who figure it out, it’s the most powerful network that exists today. challenge is helping more people figure it out.
likely most of that won’t come from social use cases, but rather the microapps that #[0] originally envisioned and folks like #[1] are focused on building.
the power of this thing is the ecosystem part. it’s permission-less, meaning anyone can build whatever they want, and it has a permission-less global payment system readily available through bitcoin. but neither will sell people on joining it.
if the apps built on top of nostr do valuable things, like https://highlighter.com does, then every nostr app and use case benefits, including the social clients.
this is going to be a long road, but one that fundamentally changes the way people experience the internet. if it doesn’t succeed itself, it will certainly inspire the thing that does.
This is probably the greatest project ever worked on. I absolutely love nostr!
In 2021 I had the opportunity smoke a joint with Scott Horton at freedom fest and didn't take it, as I was still in the military for a few more months. Wish I would have now.

My simple way is taken from the book The richest man in babylon. 10/20/70
1. Protect you most important asset (that's you)
2. Save (in vehicles that earn uninterrupted compound interest)
3. Payoff debt (using the Cashflow index method and the roll over roll down strategy)
4. Invest (in things you know about and are interested in)

So many are looking for that big payoff. I've been a saver my whole life, but didn't get serious with it until about 1998 when I went into a books a million in Oxford Alabama and found the personal finance, investing and business section. Paid off a bunch of debt and got into investing... Then lost money in the dot Com and then the 08. Took another 5 years and in 2013 found The Infinite Banking Concept. Which helped me make saving a priority over investing, helped me create the habit of saving however painful it is some times and a true understanding of how money works. That's when I met Bob Murphy and also Ron Paul that year. As they say the rest is history.
