Oh yes, and if they bite your groin area, people think you have crabs or something. And it seems that I am extra susceptible... Mosquitos, ticks, flies etc I'm super sensitive and somehow they are attracted to me. My wife, never gets bit. So weird.
Chiggers are microscopic arachnids (like a tick but much much smaller) they are red, but most of the time you don't see them. They get on you and you don't even know it, until 2 days later and you have these red itchy bumps usually around your ankles or your wasteband where they bit you... By that time they are no longer in you... They don't attach like a tick does. They are mostly in the south where we live.
Keeping the grass mowed helps as well as having chickens and Guinea fowl that will help control them.

π« Hope you find relief, nothing worse than itchy bites. We have chiggers here. Been pretty good this year, but I've gotten bit by them in the past and the itch is maddening.
Sometimes it's only in hindsight that we appreciate the decisions of others. I grew up in a rural area, joined the military, lived in big cities and in Europe. When it came time to settle down, I was thankful for the opportunity to purchase some acreage and get back to the rural life. Even the last city that we lived in which is of moderate size (150,000) is getting out of control... The town was named one of the best places to live, so now everyone is moving there and making it less and less desirable to live there. It's our main place we shop and is 25 minutes away.
Lucky we are about 1/2 between that city and a much smaller one and we're now finding ourselves more and more shopping in the smaller one.
How do you decide to follow someone? Many profiles have nothing or just "bitcoin" in their description... Many don't use real names or even pics of themselves (which is totally fine for privacy)
So that leave me the daunting task of scrolling their notes to see if something Peaks me interest.
How do you curate you follow list?
Not having an algo pumping the bad vibes is so refreshing on here. I've been spending more and more time... Some of the bitcoin stuff gets a little old for me, yes I'm staying humble and stacking Sats (well except when plaid disconnects my Strike from my bank account every other day π€¬) but for the most part the Nostr vibe is way better than any other social.

It should not cost your life to use your voice.
As parents, weβre caught between raising fearless children and praying the world wonβt break them for it.
