Yea agreed and as long as they flourish the algo’s wont be the determining cost driver but chips, transformers and energy. So market abuse won’t be an issue on the algo front for now. Still is in play for the rest of the drivers though.

Check, yea seems like the right train of thought. However the efficiency of the
models seem to have a natural limit with the current architecture though. So for costs I would think chips, transformers and energy are bigger drivers. Algos could be a potential driver if the eager beaver EU states block that out. Then the closed players could get some market power to influence prices.
Just looking to get the total picture and see how I’m being stupid.
Asking for your insights. What are the possible (temporary) causes for stalling or reversing the price-decline of llm tokens over the next years. EU and otherwise:
- Mono-Oligolopies through regulatory capture
- Energy prices increasing
- Energy transformer shortages
Any other attack vectors or cause Im missing? Any data points to clarify the likelihood?

I think I’m well underway with rewiring my brain that I now get enthusiastic about BTC price dropping and a little worried when it goes up. I just want to get more and that’s just a lot easier when the price is low 🫣
And of course that changes if security and decentralization really starts to tilt negatively or breaks somehow but for now it seems to consistently work like this for me.
Also I get it is different when you made most of your money already and just want to store it. I still have some decades of production and creation ahead of me if I’m lucky. Which wouldn’t make me very happy with the thing going to 2 mln per coin in the next five year. Not counting on it staying here for much longer though. I think I’m hearing a money printer engine being fired up somewhere in the distance

Thinking a bit about Jeff Booth’s post. It’s actually incredibly nice to be here on Nostr at this moment.. easy to speak my mind, non of my clients or acquaintances around and quite frankly a super positive experience. People admit their mistakes, there’s nuance and an incredible concentration of highly disagreeable incredibly skilled people around.
I must say I miss that opportunity in most of my life. Odd one out usually.
Places are temporary by nature. A man never steps into the same river twice and all that. Cherishing this period in Nostr while also excited about the future.
Also I kind of hope we can make some citadels of communication for the group of people enjoying each other here. Who knows we’ll keep some of the experience.
Man I love working outside. This is the dream for me. Just a month of visiting the parents in law in Colombia now. In a few year maybe.. some more awesome engineers around and perhaps a daylight computer? (The new non blue light thingy)

In that light I think competition is better than patriotism. You should have ‘patriotism’ for your community, friends and family. The state is just a company with a monopoly on violence if you ask me. Or should I look at it another way? What’s missing here?
