You're confusing that with every country.
Didn't mean to imply you were suggesting to trust them and I agree, the claim is impressive.
But if I understand correctly, researchers can't research the closed off code, only what has been disclosed? So could there be hidden back doors?
Also, if we assume Apple's claims are true, Apple still owns users data doesn't it? And so users could have their accounts closed. Great punishment to hold over the heads of users, especially at the behest of a government. Users comply otherwise loose a lifetime of data? Moreover, as people become addicted to AI, the thought of living without it would become unbearable and so, induce compliance to whatever dictate of the day.
In the end, Corp remain in control of its users.
Moreover, you have to have a sense of shame before you can feel embarrassed. The majority of scientists and doctors have made some pretty outrageous claims in recent years, and majority of media outlets have not shamed any of them. And if it was all a lie, 99% of users wouldn't care anyway.
Trusting a corporation to do what it promises is a bit like trusting a politician to do what it promises, isn't it?
Seems like Apple's going to be the most secure system on the planet, much more secure than open source software on corporate hardware, but for whom?
Apple and its state intelligence customers of course. Not its users.
Corps/govs are not lying when they say, 'We take your privacy very seriously'.
What they mean is, 'We take all your private data. Seriously'.
Seems like states are like feminists - claim they want equality but what they really want is control.
Anarchists want equality. Bitcoin is anarchist. Rules without rulers.
Seems like there's a lot of evidence to suggest it's better to loose one's character than to build one's character.
Loosing one's character unlocks infinite possibilities. Building one's character constricts possibilities in the delusion that one's character is oneself.
Well. Certainly a fraud to call it food.
Perhaps NATO was never designed to control Russia? Or even if it was, its sole purpose now is to control Europe.
Yes. Go for it! Ubuntu LTS (long term support) is nice if you want something a bit different than Windows. As others have said you can burn a live usb and just boot/run the laptop from it to test if you like it before installing. It won't wipe your existing system. If your laptop is old it will run much faster with linux.
We only have 3 years left until AI destroys or severely harms humanity, according to a former OpenAI employee. https://futurism.com/the-byte/openai-insider-70-percent-doom
So what he's saying is, we only have three years for the world's politicians and CEOs to become sentient beings?
Evert day. Every day.
They will soon, using Bitcoin, if Saylor gets his way.
#GrapheneOS duress password in action. This is on a sacrificial Pixel 6a. I did it a few times, and let me tell you, DO NOT screw around with this. You get no second chance. It's gone. Instantly. And it's beautiful.
