Those who would trade liberty for security deserve neither.

I don't know how many people realize how much Greenland is an outlier in almost everything. There are only about 56,000 of them scattered along thousands of kilometers of coastline. The territory is huge, but it's mostly ice. The populated areas are dots along the coast, not connected by road. There are no roads outside the populated areas - you can't go anywhere by car except to the village where you live, so even the SUVs, which people usually have, are in various remote areas. There are roads in your village, and practically right outside the village the ice starts πŸ₯Ά Those ATVs, like four-wheeled motorcycles, are popular, they're the best thing for those conditions.

There's nothing useful, the economy is non-existent. Practically everything has to be imported. It's possible that there's oil or lithium reserves somewhere below or I have no idea what - nothing has been publicly announced. It's possible that the "big players" know about it, and we ordinary citizens - don't. But I don't even believe it. I think Trump's main motive is some kind of "imperial legacy" - whatever happens, he will be remembered as the president who expanded the USA by XY square kilometers, and no one has done that for over a hundred years. (The proclamation of, for example, Hawaii and Alaska from territory status to state status is not an expansion of the USA, because they had those territories before, they just changed their status internally.) I think that is Trump's biggest motive. The Americans already have a large base in the north, Thule, but that's a separate story.

Out of 56 thousand people, only 25k work, and of that 10k are in the public sector. The least populated state in the USA - Wyoming, has OVER TEN TIMES more inhabitants than Greenland. Mind you, it is the smallest US state out of 50 (+DC). Half of the money for everything Greenlanders get from Mother Denmark. Denmark is not big, but the population of Greenland is so tiny, about 1% of the population of the Kingdom of Denmark, that even if they consider them all social cases, the rich Danes can financially handle it. (When they tolerate immigrants from everywhere, why not the good Greenlanders who have been residents of the Kingdom for centuries?)

The left-wing and woke media - besides being disgusted by Trump, of course - are also disgusted by "colonialism" and the fact that Greenland is part of Denmark. They would prefer Greenland to be independent and happy, they have been rooting for it for decades, to be a welfare state with 40% of employees in the public sector living off... what exactly? Melting ice? 😁 Even whaling, a traditional activity, would be banned by the global left because it's a bit disgusting.

No, I believe that the top solution of the urban leftists would be for Greenland to become independent, and Denmark to send money anyway, because they should feel guilty about something (white guilt). Something like that. And that everyone sits in lockdown. Who knew, the ideas of the modern left are all crazier than the other.

The chances of such a solution are zero. I think the MAGA plan to buy it or "buy it" is quite realistic and actually smart, no matter how crazy it may seem at first glance. Greenland is visually magical in places. They also have a new airport, so Americans can take direct flights from their neurotic crime-ridden cities to the icy paradise.

I have a feeling that the people of Greenland, to the despair of media like the Guardian, will slowly turn to America because it will add up to 2+2.

An Argentine winemaker recently made a name for himself with a sparkling wine he called LÑgrimas de Zurdo - translated as Leftist Tears 😁

The wine is dedicated to Milei and has a lion on the label because Milei's campaign slogan was "I didn't come to lead the sheep, but to wake the lions."

Btw, speaking of Argentina, the OECD predicts that Argentina will have the highest economic growth in Latin America this year.

Because of #Bitcoin, the grind becomes addictive.

Once I saw the benefits of #Bitcoin, everything else became secondary.

There can't be any revolution until there's a personal revolution, on an individual level. It's got to happen inside first.

That is why I love #Bitcoin

It is my first cycle and being on Nostr helps a lot. Not crying at all, just DCAing as nostr:npub10wv37amdqnv8edw5yktgsxr62g8k4lqkk2u66fk6c6uwuakzssxsf4v22x advises. A big thanks to all of you.

We won. Now, was that too much to ask for?

But, on a more serious note, it's incredible how close we came to ending up in some pseudo-sectarian dictatorship. The kind of craziness we laughed at in Turkmenistan has become practically official policy and criticizing it has started to become punishable by law. Not to mention the quasi-ecological policies that do practically nothing for the environment, but significantly impoverish individuals.

We are seeing the last gasps of that madness in Europe, where Starmer and his team are protecting Pakistani child sex traffickers, and that EU parasite Thierry Breton is announcing that he will stop the elections in Germany if the AfD wins, just as has already been successfully done in Romania.

It's already a bit funny to watch, because we can all see that this story has completely fallen apart and that these last idiots from the jungle no longer have any influence. But it was a bit lacking to have such people working on our heads and dictating what we can and cannot say, and maybe even send us to the Eastern Front to defend LGBTQ values. Then it wouldn't be funny at all.

Personally, I think that I will start to deal less with these topics, and this is apparently a finished story, although it will probably take a few more years until things fall apart completely.

The pendulum will surely go the other way now, I just hope it doesn't go too far, as it usually does. But until then, we surely have at least ten years of normality. Let's enjoy them!

The so-called "far right" political parties that the media has been scaring people with have been in power (or participating in the government) for years in Italy, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Switzerland, so I don't know if any disasters have occurred in those countries or if they are functioning normally. If nothing terrible is happening, it could turn out that the media is mislabeling politicians for some of their own reasons.

The European Union is on the verge of becoming the new USSR

There is a public debate in the media about how to make Europe more competitive, because it is clear that Europe only produces regulations. How to get new innovations? The political establishment seems to be pretty much in agreement on the matter - they need to "put more money into innovation". And when they say "investment", they don't mean policies that attract private investment. Oh, no. They talk about the spending of public money, the creation of new EU funds, from which they will finance selected private companies that should then, on the orders of the bureaucrats, bring new innovations and technologies.

Who is more successful:

A man in his forties who is very well-known in his circles, has a lot of money, but also a dysfunctional family and poor health.

Or

A man in his forties who no one particularly knows about, who earns enough for a normal life and has a healthy family and good health?

What does it mean to be successful nowadays?

Status? Numbers? Luxury cars? Yachts? Jewelry? Expensive wardrobe?

And who are we actually showing and proving it to?

We have completely gone off track and it is time we redefined success.

Because these standards of the sick society we live in should not be an indicator or example of anything for us.

Honest question: Do you think DCAing 100€ a week is enough?

I can't wait for my first Bitcoin cycle to end. It is going to be a great story for my grandchildren

The #Bitcoin 2025. chart is beautiful, candle by candle.
