Does anyone know if there’s already something that exists that essentially is like Commento or Disqus that allows you to embed Nostr comments related to your website in your site?

ME: “Why wouldn’t I?”

HER: “Because he’s destroying the country.”

ME: “How, by getting criminals off the streets?”

HER: “They’re not criminals, they’re asylum seekers.”

ME: “The ones he’s deporting are violent criminals.”

HER: “Hey, migrants clean my building and they're afraid to come to work now.”

ME: “Well they wouldn't be afraid if they didn't break into the country.”

HER: “These are people who come here to feed their families, and what Trump is doing is incredibly disgusting.”

ME: “Not as disgusting as American citizens voting for crime and open borders. Are you always this friendly with the customers?”

HER: “Well, I’m the owner so I can say what I like. And honestly I think I’d like you to leave.”

ME: “Fine, as long as you realize that this is why your side lost.”

I laughed, got up, and took my business down the street where it was cheaper AND friendlier.

Prediction: democrats are going to fuck themselves (and their constituents) so damn hard by associating Bitcoin with Trump… When, in reality, Bitcoin doesn’t care about Trump.

I know that technically speaking v4v is capitalist, but the value aspect implies valuable, and so just and fair.

This is more altruistic than most transactions, where (usually) everyone is trying to gain the upper hand.

Has anyone read the book “Give and Take” by Adam Grant? I’m part way through, and it’s making an interesting argument in favor of, essentially, generosity. The implication so far is that, when done correctly, selfless giving creates value.

I like the idea overall, it’s a nice nod to altruism. However, it’s somewhat at odds with capitalist approaches of value-for-value. In particular, it seems to contradict things like the implicit roles of Atlantis in Atlas Shrugged.

I’m curious if others have had similar thoughts on the book, or frankly anything else. #economics #asknostr

I'm curious to know how strong people make their passwords these days. What's typical for you? I'll go first.

For important things, it's 20+ characters and if that's not possible, then the maximum supported length. This includes passwords that I memorize.

For just the standard accounts, usually 12 characters. But I'm probably going to crank that up just for funsies.

It's just annoying to type in 32 characters of complete line noise in those rare circumstances where I have to do so for some reasons.
