I think most “shit coins” have in capped supply limits. That doesn’t mean the currently have an infinite supply, but they will inflate forever unless there’s a code fork that changes the rule.
Totally agree. If the market goes down for a day people freak out. This shows the insanity of our system. The natural state of an economy is to have cyclicals. We have been pumping fake money into the system so long people are addicted to the fake growth.
I share this view 💯💯. I seriously can’t read it anymore. Every other post seems to be political now.
This world. 😂🤯
So weird!
Quick, revolt.chat just got 400+ upvotes on hackernews — go upvote my comment advertising flotilla to pump nostr's (and my) bags: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43282688
For context: I considered forking Revolt to build Flotilla but decided against it.
Looks awesome! Nice work!
Oh I love this!!! Highly doubt it’d pass, but I think it would be fantastic for the country
Well for one I’d definitely use AI to improve your workflow efficiency, but I’d also definitely focus time and effort on core skills. Even with AI it’s helpful to know the landscape in order to ask the right questions. So things like system design principles, HTTP concepts, learning design patterns, learning how to write good tests, etc will help you even if you’re doing a decent amount of the grunt work with AI.
I think it’s when a major power officially creates a bitcoin strategic reserve. It will likely cause a crazy arms race with many other nations doing the same, which will add a tremendous amount of capital in the market, and likely enough price stability that big companies will start ditching their treasury bonds in favor of bitcoin. That’s my guess at least.
Cool idea. Probably wouldn’t be too hard honestly. Just have to write an app that watches for new markdown files in whatever directory you write your notes to.
I have the same problem. 😂
How crazy is it that cutting absolutely worthless and reckless spending is controversial. 😂
Does anyone know if there’s already something that exists that essentially is like Commento or Disqus that allows you to embed Nostr comments related to your website in your site?
I think originally it was kinda the first platform that did smart contracts. Now days smart contracts seem to be pretty prevalent on other platforms, so it’s less novel, but I think that was the original thing that gave it some value. It also used to be a proof of work blockchain like BtC. Not sure if they’ve fully transitioned away, but they are now proof of stake. I’d stay a million miles away from ETH as an investment, but maybe for executing smart contracts there may still be utility value.
What are your thoughts on Nostr adding the ability to tag default relays, such that a client for NIP 68 can have a different relay set than NIP 1 clients. Obviously wouldn’t need to be limited to just NIP 68 vs 1, but that’s the example that came to mind. #asknostr
