My wife nostr:npub13mve7tvtzrrsjlt20qwyf0lw2ey0l9xlf3h49krlv4762k6dhwcqcp4ww8 and I bought this boat (which is now our home we own nothing else) six months ago in Costa Rica.
She was broken having been abused and not looked after for many years by her previous caretakers/owners. There had been zero maintenance done and she was near her death bed.
We knew she had another life left in her and we knew we could bring her back to life. It was going to take a lot of hard work or proof of work on our part but having done it before we knew we were up for the challenge and that the rewards at the end of it would far outweigh the sacrifice of 12hr days 7 days a week for the following six months.
This is why we love this lifestyle and Bitcoin they run on the same ethos. You get out of it what you put into it.
Nothing is free in life and thatās how it should be. Reward shouldnāt be given it should be earnāt and in that way you live a life thatās far more rewarding and thatās filled with gratitude š
This is the reward we are now enjoying.
Work hard people, take care of those you love and your health. Work to be the best person you can. Surround yourself with people that make you a better person, stack sats and your life will be filled with hope and the rewards will flow!

Weāre 100% solar and had zero issues on the last 4200nm passage from Panama to the Marquases. We are setup very efficiently though. Fridge and freezer have 100mm of insulation and the boats running on 24v not 12v which increases efficiency.
Not running lithium yet as we couldnāt find a reliable supplier in Costa Rica or Panama so our battery technology is old. That means we need to run the engine to make water as our 24v desal unit draws around 900 watts or 40amps @ 24v and we get too much voltage drop when it runs for extended periods. We lived off 500 watts of solar on our last boat for five years and on that boat we installed 320Ah of lithium which made a massive difference to our efficiency.
Not bad weāre running 1.3kw of solar thatās managed via a Victron system. Itās just powered us the entire 4,200nm from Panama to the Marquesas. Solar when setup well within an efficient system rocks onboard! This is the VRM portal that runs via the Cerbo super cool for power management.

This is what happens when you marry the best captain in the š ā¦

Iām incredibly lucky to have you Amore mio ā¤ļø To have someone that works so hard to keep our bodies healthy through abundant love and food is truly a blessing š
Have to say the interactions with people on #Nostr are so positive itās hard not to want to share more of this lifestyle. Thanks weāll do our best š¤
Fermented foods are the key to a healthy gut. Try kombucha, kimchi, yogurt and miso for easy at home solutions you can make yourself. My wife nostr:npub13mve7tvtzrrsjlt20qwyf0lw2ey0l9xlf3h49krlv4762k6dhwcqcp4ww8 makes these aboard our boat as we sail the world.
After 24 days at sea and sailing more than 4,200nm we arrived in Nuku Hiva!
The feelings you get as you sight land on the horizon is hard to put into words. For a month thereās been nothing but an endless horizon bound by shades of blue and to finally see a green dot that grows larger over the hours is surreal.
As the peaks of Nuku Hiva grew larger so did the feelings of turning around heading back out to sea.
Thereās something truly mesmerising about being on the ocean bound by Mother Nature free as a bird to sail in any direction you wish to point your bow.
Weāll spend a few days here recovering from the lack of sleep a passage like this causes and then we plan to head further south to the Tuamotos where weāll find a remote atoll to hangout in for a month or so.
Iāll continue to update when we can and to share this magical lifestyle for allā¦.. who knows we may inspire others to have the courage to loose sight of the land? Always remember itās the journey not the destination.
Hereās some stats for the sailors out there.
We sailed 4,200nm
Top speed 18.9kts
Average speed 7.3kts
Daily average 175nm
Best 24hr run 220nm

If the sailing lifestyle isnāt proof of work I donāt know what is?
To get here in this moment of time we spent five months working 10hrs a day 7 days a week preparing the boat. The Pacific is no joke itās around 8,000nm from Panama to the east coast of Australia. Sailing those miles is relentless as the ocean, wind and the unpredictable Mother Nature constantly wear at the boat and crew trying to find their weakest point.
On the 11th of March we departed Panama bound for French Polynesia and weāre still out here over three weeks later sailing toward French Polynesia.
Thereās only my wife and I onboard and one of us has to be awake and on watch the entire time we are sailing. Trimming the sheets and altering the heading doesnāt stop out here. Watching the weather, making water and keeping the boats electrical systems and power working is a constant concern that never goes away. Without it we arenāt f$&ked but it would definitely make life a lot harder.
The boats powered by 1.3kw of solar and this along with the wind is whatās powered and propelled us the entire way. Itās powering my phone and our sat comms to send this #sailstr #nostr #note.
Before departing my wife organised months and months worth of provisioning. She made lists and spent days sourcing all the food and items weād need. I bought spares and tried to think of all the situations weād need to cover. For sure you canāt envision everything but you do your best gained from the years of experience you have.
This is my fourth Pacific crossing however itās by far the best. To be doing this two up with my wife on our new home has been a gift.
Being at sea for weeks on end gives one clarity and space within their minds. It shows you whatās truly important and where to focus oneās time and energy.
This clarity has confirmed what weāve always felt and known and thatās that #Bitcoin is the key that will change the world and with its positive incentives itāll make a fair and inspiring place for us all to live and grow together working towards a common goal, bettering the world for all.
It empowers the individual to do better and to be better and it gives us all a base of truth to build upon that will bring us together.
To steal a nostr:npub15dqlghlewk84wz3pkqqvzl2w2w36f97g89ljds8x6c094nlu02vqjllm5m quote āBitcoin is hopeā
And from nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a āI woke up
Today and chose rhetoricā our promise to Bitcoin and its community is that we will continue to educate people far and wide and to help awaken the world to the power of Bitcoin a monetary system based upon rules not rulers.
Hereās a few pics below of the last few days. Weāre hoping to arrive on Sunday which will mean weāve done over 24 days proof of work getting here and thatās what makes this lifestyle and way of travel so unique and rewarding āµļø
Best wishes to all from the Pacific and man is it beautiful out here this place is so worth fighting for šš¤

Pacific Crossing day 17 and weāre over 3200nm from Panama and have just under 1000nm to go until we reach the Marquesas Islands.
All going to plan thatāll give us an arrival date of the 3rd.
The last few days have seen scattered showers and some minor squalls. Weāve had winds form 4kts to 28kts and the direction has oscillated from NE and SE.
Seems weāve found some more stable air flow now and are making great time averaging over 8kts for the last five days.
Boat and crew are going great however weāre a bit tired as thereās only the two of us onboard so at night we take it in turns to do whatās known as watches.
My wife does from 6pm - 2am and I do from 2am - 10am then during the day we both take it in turns. Works well for us and itās a real treat just having the two of us onboard for such a long passage. Itās a great way to discover whether you married the right women š Iām happy to say I did šā¤ļø
Few pics below from the last few days.

Donāt Casa go full shitcoin?
1600nm down only 2500nm to go!!
Crossing the pacific is a trip of endurance. One needs to take their time and to make sure theyāre well prepared before setting off on such a voyage.
The constant wear and tear on the boat and crew over the three to four weeks it can take can be brutal.
The sea never gives up and will always find your weakest point.
So far so good hereās a few pics from the last few days.

The shakedown cruise was a success! 9 days in St. Michaels, 7 days on Kent Island for the Bay Bridge Boat show. I had so much fun! Star Fire sails like a dream! Thereās a light dusting of pollen covering everything topside. She needs a bath!
April 26-28 is the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show. Hope to see you there! https://v.nostr.build/4okL9.mp4 https://v.nostr.build/5Gz5B.mp4
What app did you use for the animation itās super cool!
One of the last places we are truly free is out here. No one to dictate rules apart from Mother Nature the true boss!
