It is strange, maybe someone grows them nearby? Or it has been dormant in the ground, soil holds seeds dormant for a long time. At least it's a beautiful flower and technically edible once cooked, just not supposed to be that tasty.

Oh I miss calla lilies! We used to grow them when I was growing up in Southern California.

Stopped by a swap meet this morning and picked up a Jimmy Nardello Italian Pepper. I've been wanting to try it but wasn't sure if I wanted a whole package of seeds so now I'll be able to try them!

Thanks! And it's sandy loam with gravel so we have to use a pick to break it up. It's slow going but I'm hoping to be grateful once monsoons start and the sunken beds catch sheeting water and we don't have to water as much!

Another bed finished! Still not planted but I'm not sure where I want to plant each thing.
