That’s $26/hr full time to break even for self after taxes. No appreciable savings there, can’t afford kids or emergencies at that pay grade. Inflation keeps compounding and housing is monetized way beyond its cost of production.

My dad used say in the 90’s, “if you can just make 50k a year you’ll be doing good in life.” Damn was he ever wrong. Wages never keep up with currency debasement. That’s why all the resets throughout history.

Why is it that, despite now common knowledge that there is a direct connection between a primal user’s KYC info (thanks to its wallet setup) and the user’s npub (their identity across *all* clients), there are people promoting primal as a way to onboard new people to nostr?

How is that not an instant deal breaker? What am i missing here? Is primal just straight up paying people to shill it, or am i misunderstanding something? What’s going on here 🤔

Exactly. I very much enjoy the process of making music. Getting note combinations wrong, trying different rhythms, tinkering until I get to something I like.

But I like using my time to make music. It doesn’t need to be good (it often isn’t) but it’s the process, being lost in a flow state. Time is the only valuable thing I have.

There are LLM/ML tools I find useful but ChatGPT still isn’t useful to me. Maybe I’m doing it wrong? Maybe I’m not. I have one life.

I’m not into Sam Altman in more ways than I can easily communicate. The idea of having all the information ever is fun but the reality is just some cunt getting insanely rich mining peoples brain waves. Facebook clamped to your face for all eternity.

I’m into the idea of life swaps. I think the world would be better if every so often Altman or Thiel or Zuckerberg, any of these surveillance bastards swapped lives with an average office worker or tradesperson so they could go back and rethink their techno utopias.

Of course that won’t happen so I’ll just have to make do with calling Altman a cunt on Nostr.

Nostr gives me hope that we can build better systems to find clarity and truth in our world.

Using such a DA from big Tech has the potential to become the ultimate tool of control: you don't just manipulate the narratives in public but you can create a personalized "reality" for every user.

However, I am looking forward building something like this in a sovereign tech stack on my own hardware, under my control. An ultimate ad blocker for online and offline. A bullshit filter, that helps me manage information overload and all the informational noise. An alarm when someone hostile approaches. You get the idea. Cool stuff!

The question is: who controls the stack? Which master does the AI listen to?
