Steve Patterson’s arguments against nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev on Liberty Lockdown - “your opinions are different than mine, therefore you’re incorrect and you’ve definitely been psyop’d”.

Such a disingenuous and obnoxious set of arguments he brought.

Yup. Why fix tech debt and build a resilient product when you can just scrap it and start from scratch? Ideally in a way that lets you siphon out more data from your customers.

This goes back to what I was talking about the other day. Fiat mindset is ruining software.

He comes to a different conclusion about why software is less performant today than I do, and I don’t think he’s wrong, but it’s not the whole picture.

I’ve seen firsthand at several tech startups where engineers desperately want to improve their products, but are not allowed the time to address it in favor of more features. Because pretty much every tech startup believes more features = more customers. High time preference bullshit.

I just zapped you from primal. Seems good for me.

This whole drones over NJ thing smells like a psyop.

Fiat software engineering encourages writing shit code and then instead of going back and fixing it, you double down by ignoring the shit code you wrote and slam even more shit code on top of it.

Want to know why the reliability of nearly every product has gone down? This is why. Fiat tech companies must continually seek new customers by building more features to capture the market. They all ignore their tech debt until it’s literally strangling them and prohibiting growth. By then, it’s too late…

And just wait until they all start massively adopting AI “agents” to pump out even more shitty code 🤣

Recycling is a scam. All your shit goes to the same place, they just charge you more and tell you it’s good for the environment.

Everything is expensive. People in the Seattle/Tacoma area are some of the most lethargic I’ve ever met. Can be extremely difficult to find professionals who actually have pride in their work. The politics here are ridiculous. Winter is hard, very dark and cold. By February every year I’m dying for a day of sun.

But… it’s absolutely gorgeous and has pockets of freedom lovers. Tons of amazing outdoor adventures. Summer here is glorious. My suggestion is to be east of Tacoma.

Most modern video games are trash imo. I took a long break from gaming until I got this 64. It’s so nice being able to just load a game. No updates, no need to connect to WiFi, etc.

Wife and I played Mario party the other day and it was just an absolute blast.

Yes! I bet I played it for hundreds of hours
