I wonder if laws and demands like these will lead more users, and even companies like Gab, to Nostr, so they can't be made to comply with censorship requests? ๐ค
It's so ridiculous of them to think they can police even non-citizens of theirs in other countries. Why not just block Gab's domain, or ISPs in the country from connecting to them (like the Great Firewall of China or Iran does)? Or would that make their heavy-handed censorship too apparent?
So that's the Deep State playbook? I hear the TSA and others are preparing to ramp up COVID restrictions and possibly "lockdowns" again.

If I hadn't been raised in a Christian home and studied Christian doctrine all of my life I, too, might find myself with a whole host of questions. Nor do I mean to imply that I have everything figured out (because I don't), but what I do believe makes sense to me, rationally, morally, experientially, doctrinally.
My short answer to all of your queries is: Jesus is the way. Don't bother with other scriptures, not even the Old Testament because it ultimately points to Jesus. Once once you come to know and understand Jesus, even some of those confusing Old Testament laws and actions begin to make sense.

Some relays seem to work intermittently. I'm probably not normal in this, but I have 26 relays and and it says 23 of them are working right now, on Amethyst. I have had some devs advise having fewer relays for a faster connection. I think having around 12 is advised. Here is a screenshot from nostr.band of the most popular relays right now:
Connecting to some of these, some of which I'm also connected to, would broadcast your notes wider, giving you more reach and meaning more people can see your notes that are also connected to these relays. More relays also mean your nostr client has more places to draw data/notes from so that you can see more notes from others. I hope this helps.
