As the school year comes to a close, our My First Bitcoin class celebrates the graduation of 9 students this year, and this is our first cohort with adult graduates! It is so gratifying to have so many students voluntarily see this class through all the way to the end, and eyes be opened to a future antifragile economy that is free from fiat and State interference in the honesty of our money. Proverbs 11:1 is the biblical principal behind Bitcoin's importance in our society and why sound financial education is so important to a generation that is being deprived of it, and sold a basket of lies about inflation, instant gratification, debt, and compound interest. Summer will be relaxing, but I can't wait to start up our next class in the Fall!

RecklessApotheosis had the good fortune to visit Abundant Mines this last week and tour one of their facilities and to have a great chat about Lightning and Mining integration with their team and with Noah from OpenNode. We have had a channel with OpenNode for 2 years now, and are excited about the inevitable convergence of Bitcoin mining and layer 2 networks!

A sad painful closure here, ugh! We need improved lightning channel management. LN was designed for the future high on-chain fees environment. FCs should be super rare and never burn a million sats to confirm!

As both heavily involved in the Bitcoin Mining arena as well as Lightning, RecklessApotheosis is crazy excited as well as mildly concerned over the number of transactions being mined every block! We had a slow routing week, only growing by a single channel, but at least we didn't lose any for the second week running! Which, given the painful FC fees people are reporting, we are hugely blessed to have escaped so far! Routing slowed way down, likely due to de-risking by other routing nodes and a reduction in global rebalances, also the reduction in newly opened channels resulted in a reduction of local balancing of new channels. We only routed 65m sats over 515 transactions, but hey, no closures! So I'm counting this as a win!
