That sathoarder guy. Feel free to use my strfry relay at: wss://nostr.sathoarder.com It's free.

I typed them but they auto filled as well. Make sure you're doing them in the right order. That row by row always annoys me because it seems more natural to me to go column by column, just a thought.

I think it's reckless to try and run a routing node on raspberry pi especially when you're unsure of exactly what you're doing.

Not so reckless to run a node, open some channels for personal use and either have them unannounced or set the max htlc to 0. That way you won't route and you can still spend and receive without a big risk of unwanted force closures while retaining full custody and control of your funds.

It's all about determining the reason --WHY-- you're running a lightning node and setting things up that work toward your reason.

Electrum was on my laptop. Also I just tried restoring the seed in Green Wallet on my laptop and the Liquid showed up with the transaction history from Aqua

Has anyone tried to do a restoration of nostr:npub1jan3xfrvxmd35smylytmnp3ne0sgqh2x47yq766s55zaf6eja4rselx52y Aqua? I did and it won't recognize the seed, even though I have it still active on another device 🙄

I just entered my aqua seed into Electrum as a BIP39 and the first receive address for on chain matched but it did pick the second one first. Of course the onchain Liquid won't show up.

nostr:npub1m5mr8y7wgvcufav43hgda376xsm0t5qrerur30m23ek6w8gmn88q9hympt do you know if nodes can advertise via the LN network that they support peerswap? I’ve run peerswap on signet but never mainnet. Biggest hurdles seem to be running a Liquid node and adding peers to an approved/trusted list.

I brought it up with the Lightning network plus guys. I listed it on my nodes (slicksparks.ky and Voltorb) on 1ML. I've got three peers but only 1 has Liquid available. It's fast and really works good. I use one node and wallet for both.

Setup peerswap on your node, and swap lightning out or in for liquid for literally pennies.

https://www.peerswap.dev/

Evolution has many steps. Liquid is really nice for balancing lightning channels btw, without all the unnecessary routing which brings the risk of stuck HTLCs which being force closures. In the end I think there will be lots of options for many people.

No.

I'm more curious how many people are gullible enough to believe Wartheimer when he said that it enabled the jpeg garbage, because it didn't.

Was nice knowing you brother.

Oh me me. I had switched from unbrel to raspiblitz and didn’t back up my channels properly. Then something went wrong and due to being a full-on retard i ended up wiping the node trying to fix it. I almost lost a lot of sats (in my book). Luckily, nostr:npub1m5mr8y7wgvcufav43hgda376xsm0t5qrerur30m23ek6w8gmn88q9hympt was very helpful and patient and devised a way to help me recover all the funds, including the taproot ones, which for a while seemed like they’d be toast. It involved blixt is all i can say. Thank god for friends and FOSS!

I was truly a pleasure helping you noBody! It made me very happy to get your sats back on chain for you safe and sound 🧡

GM, some might say it's sacrilege to tiddy-up a good cup of black coffee at all

You can get compiled binaries here. They have them for Linux/Mac/Windows. There's some ok explanations in the git too. You can just download the binary and then run the chantools from the terminal of whatever OS you're using.

Also if you have funds missing from your onchain wallet when your force closes get confirmed the sweepremoteclosed command from chantools is something you may need to do as well. With your node being offline sometimes when the other side force closes and your node isn't alive, funds can languish in sweep addresses that your main three pubkeys won't pick up. So don't despair if that happens, that one is fairly easy to do.

I'll shut up now about it, lol 🤓

Hit me up if you need help when the time comes and I'll be happy to provide it. The tools you'll need are these and they can be a bit confusing but are very powerful for this kind of stuff.

nostr:npub13cnlldwfhwxd6qf34hnwlfya2m2qrd2zfk0alxnrup6d2fasw9wqxwkzpe had a watch tower. Should make things even easier if we were able to access that.

Not sure the watchtower is able to access commitment transactions unless a breach is detected. I run an lnd tower and a teos tower and let me just say, it's damn near impossible to understand much of anything that's being stored and it's a MASSIVE amount of info. Very gobbledygook, if you know what I mean. Easiest just to take the seeds from each dead node and use those to sign a transaction that splits the funds between the two parties.

Basically one node creates a psbt with one signature that has the split to the two destinations. Then the psbt is sent to the other party to sign and broadcast after reviewing the proposed split.

Best to get your ducks in a row and figure things like how you want to split it, where you want the funds to go, make sure you have the seeds and passphrase, and maybe familiarize yourself with chantools. The good thing is like and address that holds funds. They ain't going anywhere until the two people with keys move them. The channels from dead nodes that recovered a month ago were from nodes that got nukes in May '23

That's correct, don't give up if there are sats to be saved. The one thing about recovery from seed is you need to be able to have a dialogue, somehow, with your channel partner and be able to agree on how to split the funds in that 2 of 2 multisig
