🎵Die Gedanken sind frei.

Ugh, now he's impersonating me.

Why the heck is this spammer on so many relays?

Huh?

🤔 You were both just visible in their list. Now you aren't. Odd.

Is there a reason why I continue to see this user following me around in my feed?

He appears to be the source of the bots and is muted.

😂 Mine is only shoulder length, so far, but I will keep this in mind for later.

I meant more that some of the men around me can get sort of fanatical and scrupulous about things. They lose their perspective of us being individuals, deserving of empathy.

If they can't get the majority of women to stop cutting their hair short and dying it blue, for instance, then they regain their sense of control by obsessing over whether a glittery hair pin is an occasion to sin.

Sometimes, a glittery hair pin is just a glittery hair pin.

Overreach is real.

Yes, it just never struck me before that this is why I kept cutting it off.

I would have it longer and something odd would happen and I'd cut it all off again. And then I'd miss it and grow it out again.

Like a Yo-Yo. Up down up down up down...

As if men are saving up all of their anger and frustration from Woman A (who is shameless and just laughs in his face) and then unloading it upon Woman B (who is prone to worrying about how men perceive her and open to correction).

It's a sort of delayed sadistic release.

But women aren't human punching bags. And sin isn't collective.

I feel like a minority of women have become so outrageously immodest, that there's a tendency to pounce on the remainder for the most minor of infractions.

The mild commanding the mild to be milder.

Yeah, I think some men are just easily excited and that's their problem.

It's amazing how little it takes, nowadays. Everyone complains that women look so butch or dowdy, but if you try to be more feminine, everyone freaks out, because they aren't used to seeing it.

Or, braided like this?

Yes, but I'm having some trouble figuring out what modest is.

I usually use plain hairpins or black clips, and I couldn't find some and stole two lavender butterfly clips from my daughter and everyone remarked on it. Are colored or shiny barettes immodest?

What about ribbons, bows, headbands?

And are updos inherently immodest?

Is wearing it down immodest?

I feel like I'm being made to feel unnecessarily neurotic about my hair.

Unusually pretty hair is like a large busom.

No matter what you do, some guy is going to assume that you wore it down, wore it up, braided it, curled it or are wearing that cute barrette in order to entice him.

Probably why so many women are eager to cut it off or maim it by dying it some bizarre color.
