your post is mostly about other stuff, but you connect it with the pic by determining zaps as glorified bookmarks – is it really?
for me – it definitely could be, if clients showed the post you zapped in your feed and on your account page

i think we all can imagine services like steam based on nostr (would be awesome to buy indie games in btc) there users can support creators and pay not only for dlc but also affect on adding new features to the game by pay-for-vote polls.
and services like discord with those private rooms – it’s also a pretty nostr-like thing, isn’t it?

i think you are kinda right saying it would be hard to get non-btc audience on a platform having reputation of “there’re are only bitcoiners” – and therefore we have to support ppl with other interests as well.
but i can’t say there are no ppl like that. i’ve seen nostriches interested in gardening/cooking/art and more
also, i didn’t get your point on “nostr is more precious than btc” – bc i do consider “precious” more of subjective term and expected “…for me” in the end.
