Need some help from the #nostriches

It's been brought to my attention that my nip-05 identity isn't actually working. So some may think I am not, in fact, me.

I have a nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm account and address, and it is properly loaded into all the nip-05 fields of the nostr clients I use. Mainly nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg and nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955

I believe I've isolated the cause: I have not entered my nostr Master Key into the account settings of my Alby account. Which (I think) means that alby can't "verify" my nip-05 identity.

However, many wise nostriches have warned that one should avoid at all costs entering your nostr master key into any client software. This is what browser extensions should be doing for you instead, such as nos2x (which I use).

But all the fields for entering your public key are disabled, and seem to be more of a display field that generates your public key after you have entered your private key, or Master Key.

nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm seems fairly trustworthy, but I've a physical aversion to entering my private key, let alone my recovery seed, into their platform as it feels akin to entering my bitcoin private keys into website.

So what's the play here? Am I thinking about this wrong? Am I misunderstanding the nip-05 process?

Your NIP-05 ID should translate to this address: https://getalby.com/.well-known/nostr.json?name=btcminstrel

Which is a 404.

Someone breaks into my house they're going to find themselves with a few dozen extra holes.

I know how the story ends though. We win in the end. #bitcoin

The minimum is $25. And that 4ยข is all the interest I've earned in 12 years. And I pay $1/month for the privilege of having a savings account.

Fucking banks are scams.

Hey not cool dude, I have a savings account.

... And it has $25.04 in it.

It's so cool that lightning is making things like this possible. It's something that someone would maybe, MAYBE run as a pet project out of pure curiosity or passion.

Lightning unlocks previously value that was just not even on the table before. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿงก #bitcoin

It kind of already is. It's neat to be sure. But there's no state, no reasoning, no understanding. I use it damn near every day to make all kinds of tasks easier. It certainly makes me more efficient and effective but maybe by 50% and not the "10x" that most people think of for transformative technology. Seeing how these things actually work tells me it's just not the "AI" that we're being hyped on and sold. It's the wrong tech for the real generalized AI that will utterly upend everything. It feels like an important "module" that general AI will rely on.

Having said that, we are so stupidly close I'm not sure we have to wait long. Ten years maybe more and we could see some truly mind bending things.

It was a fantastic movie. It's heavy though. We left the theater kind of exhausted. But I'd love to see it again.

Aren't gas fees a major way the Ether gets pulled back out of the network to maintain inflation? Sort of like taxes?

So literally they're proposing the same inflationary song and dance... All of it is so complicated and dumb. Just buy #bitcoin.

Finally going to see Oppenheimer today. We wanted to see it in IMAX+RPX. Tickets have been hard to get but we got some!
