Politicians tell what you want to hear, that's their job. Don't trust.
If there's a positive side effect, then that's good though...
Shamir backup would better solution in that case, right?
I'm afraid that Nostr can also slip into negativity feedback loop, but I'm excited for us to fight it!
- Fight against negativity by staying positive!
- Take a second before replying to a triggering post.
- Don't zap negative/triggering content, etc.
- Carefully curate who you follow and what content shows up on your wall.
FinCEN’s proposal to outlaw all crypto privacy is a huge overreach. They apply a section of the Patriot Act on a “class of transactions” in a new precedent. Doesn’t matter if it’s custodial or noncustodial- merely using certain type of code can be an illegal act.
People are caught by the potential spot ETF, meanwhile this is proposed. Now they fight you.

I hate FinCEN reporting requirements already. I hate FBAR. And this is like 100x worse.
Wordpress blogs can now be followed on Mastodon. Is there an equivalent Nostr plugin?
Happy birthday to all 22,103,804 humans! 🎉🥳 🎉🥳🎉 #partystr
Recently I enjoyed seeing many folks in the space learning about logic gates (NANDs, XORs...) thanks to BitVM.
This brings me back in time to my school years when we were soldering circuits with transistors, designing logic circuits (drawing 16 bit adder with carry on a paper was an exam task...), then programming microcontrollers (writing microassembly with "signals"), then writing assembly, then writing c++, all the way to JavaScript...
It's fun to re-live that. 💜💜💜
What about showers? The south east Asia showers wake you up! ⚡
I like these automated summaries of today's Bitcoin development. I just wish it would link to the threads.

This is for everyone arriving from #reddit.
1. welcome home
2. add a lightening address to your profile. Perhaps Alby for web user, WalletOfSatoshi for mobile users
3. tags work well on nostr. Say hi and #reddit your note.
4. not your nsec, not your nostr. backup your keys!
5. don't miss tomorrow's #Zapathon 😉
6. memes are fun, #foodstr is better
7. At the bottom of this note you'll find some links to some good sites to get you started. I know nostr can be confusing at first (been there myself) but once you grasp the beauty of #NIPs and simplicity of building apps natively supporting each other you'll be blown away and you'll here to stay.
8. have fun, stack notes and zap sats.
9. It's don't let anyone tell you it's "the nostr" 🤣
10. Don't miss my stream tomorrow on #ZapStream and AMA nostr! (shameless plug)

It's called lightning 😛
Bringing Lightning to the BitBoxApp! ⚡️
We are exploring seamless, non-custodial Lightning payments directly within the BitBoxApp by partnering with Breeze.
Watch us pay a Bitrefill lightning invoice from within our BitBoxApp prototype:

That's pretty cool!
