All comments on this thread failed to suggest a decent note-taking app that isn't super convoluted.
I used Telegram as a way to quick jot notes for future use, reminders and whatnot, but I am trying to move out of that, so I started using https://simplenote.com/, but what a weird app. It logs me out if I don't use it for like 2 days, I don't like the fact that it has these titles because I don't need titles, I just need a place to paste content, and also it's not chronological like Telegram messages but also I can't reorder the notes as I wish, they are shown by most recent updated first, which is weird.
Anyway, all of that was ok if it wasn't for the weird syncing issues that started to happen recently: it takes sometimes hours for updates made in one device to be synced to other devices, I don't know, it looks like their server is broken or something.
I don't know why I'm writing this note anymore, but I think we could easily have a note-taking app with private notes writing to private relays on Nostr.
So based on your description Google Keep would fit your usecase. Just drop note there, don't need name. Synced.
I think the situation with Primal is a bit different - I think they don't count all nested replies and also they don't count reactions other than the default "like" (people on other clients react with different emojis).
But yeah, there are definitely differences across clients and relays in what you see.

The bridge between nostr and mastodon is very broken. This example highlights just how much.

One of the replies is from me, but the people using mastodon clients won't see that reply, because they block mostr (afaik).
Now, in reality there are many more replies on the mastodon side when you actually look via mastodon client.

To me the bridge is net negative for the experience of almost everyone involved. It would be better to not have the bridge than to have it in the current state.

Nostr is freedom and that sometimes means that you will see garbage and offensive posts and you will have to defend yourself against those a bit.
If you see something that offends you beyond reasonable amount, then don't interact with the person and just block them. That's the best solution.

Some apps are similar to X, some are very different 😊 they all speak the same language though.
Btw, nostr is closer to real life than other social networks. The number of followers are not precise since the network is decentralized. Same as in real life you don't really know exactly how many friends you have 😉
At that point it's like using any other bank account. I guess the benefit is that you can have a single balance?
