Social media is a reflection, a mirror for all the garbage and beauty within human consciousness.

If you try to suppress the garbage, you deny reality. And if you deny reality, you can't work with it, you can't heal it, you can't move on towards brightness.

If you do the same in your personal life and only project the 'good' side of you in opposition to your 'darkness' that needs to be eradicated, you will be stuck in conflict, a loop of pain, disease and suffering. That's where we are at as humanity right now.

That's why the individual inner healing work, the spirituality is so important. Because once a person has explored and made peace with the darkness inside, sees reality as it is and not as it's wished to be, then he/she won't radiate conflict out into human consciousness any longer.

Fear of hate speech or disease won't be predominant anymore. Fear mongerers and control freaks won't stand a chance and will need to go home to do their meditation.

I prefer garbage in social media any day over censoring freedom of speech. Hate is a reality within our collective consciousness. We need to embrace it, heal it, individually and collectively. If we surpress it through censorship it will stay with us, grow stronger, end in disaster, before everybody temporarily wakes up and can't fathom what happened. Sounds familiar? We had that a thousand times over.

WE DON'T NEED TO GO THROUGH IT AGAIN!

Censoring is a consensus between a small group of people at the end of the day with the pretence of protecting another group of people. Quite often working out to achieve the opposite of the desired effect and thus it fails. Perhaps not always but often I’d suggest!

I love Portsmouth and it’s a great place for walks with the camera. You’ll meet great characters, wildlife, hovercraft, boats (of course) and nice to breathe some sea air from time to time.

Looking forward to the next time I can go back there.

Wild winter days are great. It’s also a real black and white place. Some places lend themselves to that format more than others do.

GM Nostr here begins the weekend

Any big plans?

#proofofwalk

My average could, needs to be better I think. Too much time at my desk but I do get out for some walks.

I like my Sennheiser ones but always interested to know of others. I know of the Beyerdynamic range but Focal Bathys, I’ve not heard of them to be honest. Will look them up.

I can’t see the reply guy either, but I’m using two small relays and Nostur rather than Primal for the moment

Intrigued by Searxng and did a little search for it and looking for new tools to break away from the usual places.

Currently https://nicklewis.me which might change. My curiosity drove me to set it up and whether it will be useful for anyone else or not is another matter!!

I need to plan it out better.

Alex helped me with profile:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1O_jmjQnc0-a-XPSiJhN7xuNE_LPKsTng/view?usp=sharing

If you download this file you should be able to do something like

cat ditto-kind0.jsonl | deno task db:import

inside the /opt/ditto directory of your server to import a bunch of profiles

This is a workaround until I improve Ditto to pull this data automatically from relays

Will give this a go! Thanks for your help.

Creating crazy stuff this morning with the synths. The Bleass Delay is utterly bonkers and amazing. Sounds like the instruments have a mind of their own. It’s kind of nuts!

I simply love the integration between Nostr and Fountain. #tunestr

Continuing to document my musical sketches that I come up with on a regular basis. Most of the time I use the brilliant Arthuria Keystep Pro in conjunction with Logic Pro running on my iPad.

For this one, I recorded three tracks in real time with very little quantisation. Pretty happy with the result to be honest. A lot of the time I am reliant on sequencers which I love using, they can lead you down some interesting paths musically. I’ll share some videos on this soon.

Sadly I can’t post the video, will instead polish of the audio and post to Wavlake at a later point, sharing to a post when I do.

Here is a photo instead!

I wished I had got up to record the sounds as the rain on the windows sounded like some crazy percussionist throwing drumsticks at us.

Feeling peaceful today having spent only 5 minutes on Twitter (replying to a post from nostr:npub1lr2zzf989mvf393y0tv39ara6a4vddkd6y87z784up9vl6ks6j3qtudl6a) and zero time on Instagram.

So here is a nice long exposure, of sunset on the Yorkshire Coast, to relay that feeling.

You’re quite literally relaying! That’s lovely! Woke to thunderstorms and rain down here in Royal Berkshire!
