Shall look up #cashu as I haven’t heard of it yet but to be fair my journey in this Nostr space is about a few weeks old. Loving it and kind of heading for #nostronly
I was thinking this earlier today. We are the pioneers of a new frontier or some other stuff like that!
That’s it, their new names have now stuck!
I am really proud of my wife Tina pictured here, second from left, light grey trousers for completing her Mighty Hike this Sunday.
The walk was a half marathon length of 13 miles, that started at Corfe Castle and ended in Swanage with a big section along the coastal path. They faced challenges with the weather with “horizontal rain” being the least of their worries, as parts of the coastal path were somewhat tricky to walk on.
The reason behind their participation was to raise money in memory of a colleague who died last year from cancer. It hit us all very hard, as one minute she was there in the office, all normal, healthy and enjoying life. Next she was in hospital with severe pain, was diagnosed and never left the hospital. She was later moved to a hospice where she died a few days later. Her husband Mark was shell shocked.
On Sunday I did part of the walk in reverse from Swanage and met up with them near the coastal path, so that I could join them for their last couple of miles or so.
They did brilliantly but were physically and emotionally exhausted.
They raised a lot of money between them and are still pulling money in.
I can remember going to the opening of Mama Mia in the West End many years ago and photographed the band arriving there for the big night. I was quite new to the whole music photography business and I was shaking with excitement and anticipation. I didn’t see all of ABBA can remember Bjorn being there. It’s great meeting these people - have you met many others in the past?
Nice sunny day here just south of Reading. Great to see Nostr is gaining popularity with Brits!
GM - day job, fairly quiet this week and therefore finishing off an album review for my Substack publication. I’ll share the link here once it’s published.
This is fantastic. Using Arc Search, a test for searching kayak strokes worth learning over the winter. Came up with a lovely summary of content here. So cool!
Arc for iPhone installed and works very well. Just tested with my blog site nicklewis.blog
Ah. No Linux version which is a shame. Can install on my Mac though and there is Arc search for the iPhone sounds useful.
Haven’t heard of it before. Going to check it out.
lol I remember this, my mates and I used to phone each other and say waaaaaasuuuup!
Favourite season for photos, smells and sounds.
Here in the uk the other kid would be arrested, or at least least taken seriously in order to protect your lad.
Just read this in passing and made me angry for you. Not a good situation at all.
Mind you knife crime is on the rise here too. Makes no sense
Many of these buildings took a very long time to construct? Regulations nowadays would prohibit this?
That looks lovely. Mild and wet here in England, very wet but in a months time we will be heading for the Caribbean Mexican coast! Oh yeah!
Yep, same here!
Game on!
