Keeping track of my musical experimentation with this setup pictured.
Mine is filled with “It’s not too late to start a YouTube channel. Starting one in your fifties is the best time and here is why”, “Americans living in Europe”, “People selling their homes to live on a cruise liner”
Plus some stuff I’ve actually subscribed to. It’s bonkers.
It was indeed and I think they had five or six different drummers at different points in time. He’s played with so many other bands too. Absolute legend.
When you see a post that resonates with you. I prefer using this terminology over the word “like” because maybe we’re all being that point here?
So what I mean; is that instead of liking a post, I now prefer to share it, to pass on for others to appreciate rather than keep to myself.
Back in the seventies. I’m on the left, my brother next to me and my two cousins on the end. Lots of days out in the car. Lots of forests. Plenty of picnics with our grandparents, whilst the parents had a day off!!!
Today's show - Memphis Soul Stew
Lot's of killer funk tracks as well as a very hot dub straight out the shed. As ever broadcast on RSS for a free and open internet, despite being told off in the chat for swearing... a friend was listening at work and I was explaining how fucking good I think Bernard Purdie is. I mean he's fucking amazing isn't he!? Shit!!!
Maybe I should invest in a bleeper...

Purdie! He’s played with many incredible bands and I’ve seen him in real life playing with Steely Dan at one of maybe more of their London appearances. Think I’ve seen them three times?
I think he appears on Babylon Sisters and Home at last for the studio recordings.
I am currently building a new website with Astro.Build and it has a RSS feed which I want to make v4v compatible. Are there any good guides on how to do this, how will it work exactly?
I may opt to have two feeds, with one for article/posts and another for music.
That’s interesting, as I’m building my own site again to feature RSS especially. I’ve got a free account with Buttondown - possibly moving away from Substack in the longer term.
The Internet, at least the regular Internet is in a death spiral right now. nostr:naddr1qqc4wunfw3jhyuedg3hj6kt0w5k4yetpd3k8jt20wahz64mgv96z6kt0w5k4qatzd35hx6pdvee8wdrjvupzq5vg2gdn94qtws9p8zxjgn3zvsk6x52up7ee7pc9wy5nwqqgadgcqvzqqqr4guutdyjs
I had no idea at all and one of my colleagues (a contractor) is a swede working from his office in central Sweden. The rest of us are in the UK. He’s never mentioned it. Very troubling that people are having to deal with this craziness.
My last Jamuary for the year folks. This was a fun one I recorded all in one go last night, exploring the presets of three plugins - StepPolyArp, Buzz Zone and Betts testing DynaBit which is a bit reduction and filter combined. https://youtu.be/uQPHZFM20dk?si=_aOF4lnwLVgTyn7P
Betts testing? I meant Beta of course!!!

1. Kayaking, 2. Photography and music creation 3. Coding and Reading.
Hoping to get my shit back together. Have lost myself a bit recently, have been listless, no sense of direction.
Cool article nostr:naddr1qqk9g6r9942xjmt9d3jhxuedgfjkuetxd968xtt0vck4qetjwd5kzm3d2f6kwuedd3mrqamevgpzqxh4f92ex6lgqnu4qyry06j6mfw8vfldmurnfflczwa6pcc7aktqqvzqqqr4guvw87z2
This is fascinating, I’ve never thought of China as being the enemy but I think a lot of the time, so-called superpowers like to give us the impression they fear one another, as if it’s some carefully orchestrated power play.
I don’t know, I’m not a political expert.
Going to watch the videos, will be interesting to get an insight.
Keep on telling your story. There are mad guys like me here doing crazy stuff and reading it all. I feel that the communication here is more real. We can turn Nostr more English/European; which is kind of ironic.
GA DV - working on application development for work. Music wise, not a huge amount this week, apart from the little sketch I shared here two days ago. That’s been earmarked as something to evolve further and I’m happy to have a few projects like that, no rush, keep on maturing them and some develop, others just fizzle out.
Good afternoon. What are you working on today?
