___What i dislike beeing at THE NOSTR!___
This morning i tried again to write a long answer to nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a about the complexity in renewables market and what is really going on there.
But again #Amethyst fucked up and deleted everyrhing i wrote.
This is annoying.
Sorry Lyn
No insider data for you this morning.
see, first mistake is using amethyst. idk why anyone uses it, it really needs to be fixed a lot.
why
i use simplex.
when i eventually get to build indra it will form the basis of a nostr-connected version.

for some reason that looks lik eit's about 1 inch wide.
doesn't matter which kind of UI either, i do mostly console stuff it can be a nightmare.
you should see how bad it is in the btcd codebase on the CLI/configuration side8
good point. thus all the ninjas and rockstars who don't even comprehend how the binary addition function works.
Can’t sleep and here are top 4 tasks of November
1. Relay connections and auto reconnection bug fix (3 days)
2. Record which relay the event is received from (2 days)
3. Release nip07 Blowater (10days)
4. Group Chat beta release (5days)
nostr:npub14kcnaaguwqww5cac9m2p755g8z0ugpg7zzcnczll5al86cwfj67sjk2chk and I also need to come up a better testing strategy so that we break fewer things when introducing new code. Many new bugs of Blowater are totally due to lack of good testing before release.
rushing the code doesn't help, but coming up with testing schemes is a thing that is so orthogonal to getting simple functionality going that it does kinda come after.
i still have to catch up with this new 'fuzzing' test modality i keep hearing about. i already do a lot of tests in cryptography with fresh entropy but fuzzing uses that to create mangled inputs to make sure you didn't leave gaps in your logic. it will be interesting for me when i have a little more time to put on it.
there is a wave of shitcoinery coming to bitcoin like you guys have never seen.
I started writing up my thesis on this, thinking it would be a cute little note and get a zap or two, but I’m an hour in and I’m just angry. will maybe post tomorrow, but in the meantime enjoy my muse (I read it so you have to read it too):

'shitcoiners are bad' said no miner ever.
lightning lifts most of the payments load off chain without actually going off chain, really, and the miners are going to get more fees, which is gonna matter a lot more after next april.
just be ready with your mute button is all. and hopefully by then all the nostr clients have smarter filtering systems that reduce cognitive burden.
yeah, taproot means 'contract' addresses which are 'tweaked' to create new outputs.
i don't get how that works yet, to be honest, only how to implement them. the receiver has to generate them, and give them to the sender. they probably have more use in confusing the ledger than anything else so it's not all bad.
don't tell them about computer science ok?
thanks to government intervention, prices and energy inputs are not so well correlated but it's mostly a clue. if it's expensive, it means more fuel was required.
if green energy generators cost more to build, have shorter lifespans and produce less energy for all those inputs, then they probably also add to "greenhouse gas" emissions.
energy is the most inelastic part of the prices in supply chains, and THE most liquid marketplace. its prices don't have as much flexibility since producers have to scale up and down to match demand.
the entire edifice of green everything is a psyop that is essentially about making you tolerate the increasing theft of your purchasing power by governments and banks.
that's all it is.
Valuable learning and sharing. No one should control people's lives, but because gov'ts are accustomed to it, a centralized social media promoting openness became a significant challenge.
With 70% of Twitter users outside the US, confronting gov'ts globally was rather insane. But Twitter persisted, sending emails like, 'Your gov't requested the removal of this post, but we're keeping it up.' It meant a lot to the people.
However this wasn't a sustainable business model. As a company, Jack had to abide by certain rules within the country. Additionally, the US political parties found loopholes to control Twitter, bypassing Jack.
I think nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m openly discussing this, despite continuous attacks on himself, and advocating for open protocols like Nostr, and enabling people to shape their lives with limited gov't control, is truly impactful.
Twitter was important. It was the public square. To most parts of the world, when gov'ts make dumb policies (which they do often do), people voiced out.
Now, with people dispersed across various social media platforms, their collective voice has weakened, and many gov'ts have become increasingly unreasonable.
At the same time, existing social media have heavy engagement-driven algos that influences people's lives and changes they way people think, behave and react towards each other.
Nostr is a necessity and a privilege, and it will have a significant global impact. But its a big battle, and a long battle.

number one road to fiat corruption is taking money from VCs.
number one way for open protocols to avoid becoming silo componentry is for the protocol to have direct payments from users to providers.
it's very difficult to find programmers who accept the poor economic conditions they must work in to build such protocols but there is a few of us out there who will code for a really basic price at a decent standard of quality.
the ninja/rockstar dev mentality is never going to give you anything but a fast road to VC corruption and walled gardens.
you will use your X account and you will be happy
i say, if it has sugar in it, it's not for human consumption.
they share your npub?
